ELECTRIC CONNECTOR WITH FOOL-PROOF STRUCTURE AND ELECTRIC CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY THEREOF

An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a first installation module and a second installation module. The first installation module includes a first internal circuit board and a first terminal adapter block. The second installation module includes a second internal circuit board and a second terminal adapter block. The first internal circuit board and the first terminal adapter block include first fool-proof portions that cooperate with each other. The second internal circuit board and the second terminal adapter block include second fool-proof portions that cooperate with each other. The first fool-proof portions are different from the second fool-proof portions, thereby preventing the first terminal adapter block from being incorrectly connected to the second internal circuit board, and preventing the second terminal adapter block from being incorrectly connected to the first internal circuit board. The present disclosure also relates to an electrical connector assembly having the electrical connector.

Solder-less and tool-less electrical system

An adjustable and reusable electrical assembly has an electrical unit, such as a plug unit or light unit, configured to engage with a cable. The electrical unit has a body that defines a channel connecting opposite pass-through openings. A first contact member and a second contact member are positioned with at least a portion in the body, each contact member having a piercing member. The cable is engageable with the plug unit extending through the channel with one piercing member in conductive contact with one wire and the other piercing member in conductive contact with the other wire. The cable can be disengaged from the plug unit and re-engaged at a different transverse position to change the length of the assembly.

Connector assembly with a connector position assurance indicator

A connector comprises a connector body having a mating interface configured to engage a complementary mating connector, a first indicator feature carried by the connector body, the first indicator feature having a first partial visual identifier disposed thereon, and a second indicator feature carried by the connector body having a second partial visual identifier disposed thereon, wherein the first and second indicator features are movable relative to each other between a separated position and a joined position, characterized in that the first and second indicator feature form a complete visual identifier only when in the joined position, wherein the first and second indicator features are in the separated position when the connector body is not fully mated relative to the mating connector, and wherein the first and second indicator features are in the joined position responsive to the connector body being fully mated to the mating connector.

Connector Visual Inspection Apparatus

A connector visual inspection apparatus comprises a rotatable clamp for clamping a connector to be inspected. A first camera of the apparatus is arranged on one side of the clamp for capturing an end face image of the clamped connector along an axial direction of the connector. A computing device calculates an angular difference between an initial loading orientation and a predetermined orientation of the clamped connector according to the captured end face image. A drive device rotates the clamp around an axis that coincides with a central axis of the clamped connector by the calculated angular difference and into the predetermined orientation.

Connector recording system with readable and recordable indicia

The invention generally provides a connector recording system or platform that includes a recording system designed to interact with a connector system to read an indicia and then transfer, store, and display information associated with the positioning of the connector system in the installed component or device. The connector system includes a male housing assembly, a female housing assembly coupled to the male housing assembly in a connected state, and a connector position assurance assembly with the indicia and a locking member that is movable between locked and unlocked positions. In the locked position, the locking member secures the male housing assembly to the female housing assembly and the indicia can be read by the scanner to signal that the connector position assurance assembly is in the locked position. In the unlocked position, the indicia is in a state that does not allow the scanner to obtain information from the indicia.

An assembly includes an electrical cord, an electrical connector, and a housing having a first end engaged with the electrical cord and a second end from which the electrical connector extends. The first end has a first transverse cross-section and the second end has a second transverse cross-section different from the first transverse cross-section.

Connector assembly with connector position assurance member

The present disclosure relates to a connector assembly with a connector position assurance member which may reduce a defect rate in engaging connectors to each other, and an object of the present disclosure is to provide a connector assembly in which a connector position assurance (CPA) member is automatically operated to lock a lever when the lever completes its operation for engaging the female and male connectors to each other.

COVER ASSEMBLY FOR A TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONNECTOR

A cover assembly (100) is disclosed that can be installed onto and removed from a telecommunications connector (200) without requiring the connector (200) from being removed from its mounted position and without requiring an associated cover plate (120) from being removed from its mounted position. The cover assembly (100) can include a base portion (150) that defines an opening that entirely surrounds a cover portion (110). In one example, the cover portion (110) is attached to the base portion (150) via a living hinge (118). In one aspect, the base portion (150) acts as a color cap while the cover portion (110) acts as a dust cover. In one example, the base portion (150) is provided without a cover portion (110) such that the cover assembly (100) simply acts as a color cap.

Power strip with device information input and display capabilities

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a power strip, including at least one socket, and a display unit configured to display information of a device plugged into the at least one socket. Through the display unit, the information of the device corresponding to the socket can be conveniently provided, preventing operating incorrectly.
