Minerally insulated cable connector
An electrical connector assembly for the electrical connection of one or more minerally insulated cables (11), the assembly comprising a pot seal arrangement (10) arranged in use to connect the minerally insulated cable (11) to a connector (22); at least one cable alignment plate (21, 31); and, a backshell (20) shaped so as to contain the pot seal (10) and cable alignment plate (21); the cable alignment plate (21) and pot seal (10) being arranged so as to locate within the backshell (20) such that in use, connecting the backshell (20) to the connector (22) forces the backshell (20), cable alignment plate (21) and pot seal (10) into a cooperative engagement.

CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR DEVICE
A connector includes a contact in an elongated shape that is electrically conductive, and a housing that has an internal space is formed. The contact includes a contact portion, a connection portion, a fixing portion, and a protruding portion. The contact portion is to be electrically connected to an electrically conductive member when the contact is housed in the housing. The connection portion is electrically connected to a core wire of an electrical wire. The fixing portion is provided on a side opposite to the contact portion relative to the connection portion, and fixes a covering of the electrical wire. The protruding portion is provided on an end portion side of the fixing portion opposite to the connection portion so as to protrude. The protruding portion reduces the amount of movement of the contact inside the internal space of the housing.

PERIPHERAL WEDGE SEAL MEMBER
A peripheral wedge seal member for use with a plug connector housing and a receptacle connector housing. The peripheral wedge seal member includes a deformable body which has tapered walls which extend from a thicker first end to a less thick second end. Each of the walls has a first surface and a second surface which is angled with respect to the first surfaces. Each of the walls has a compliant section which absorbs forces transmitted by the plug connector housing, the receptacle connector housing or both. Each compliant section has at least one groove extending along the first surface and at least one support rib provided proximate the at least one groove.

SOCKET ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR COMPRISING THE SAME
A socket assembly comprises a housing and a first heat conducting member. The housing defines a first channel adapted to accommodate a first module inserted therein. The first heat conducting member is installed on the housing such that a bottom surface of the first heat conducting member is adapted to be in contact with the first module to dissipate the heat generated by the first module. The first heat conducting member includes a guiding feature protruding from the bottom surface and engaging with a guiding groove formed in the first module for guiding the first module to be inserted into the first channel. The guiding feature is adapted to be stationary relative to the bottom surface when the first module is guided to be inserted into the first channel and abutted against the bottom surface so as to move the bottom surface relative to the housing.
