A connector (F) includes a housing (10), and terminal accommodating chambers (13) are formed in the housing (10). Terminal fittings (72) are fixed individually fixed to front end parts of the wires (71) and are inserted into the respective terminal accommodating chambers (13) from behind. Rubber plugs (61) are fit externally on the front end parts of the wires (71) and are configured to seal clearances between outer peripheries of the wires (71) and inner peripheries of the terminal accommodating chambers (13). Vibration damping rings (64) are formed on rear end parts of the rubber plugs (61). Vibration damping rings adjacent to each other are held resiliently held in contact with each other.

A bulkhead connector assembly for assembly within a downhole tool to isolate a dry side of the downhole tool from a fluid side of the downhole tool and to allow electrical communication therebetween. The bulkhead connector assembly comprises a bulkhead comprising holes extending therethrough, wherein the bulkhead is adapted to form a fluid seal against an inside surface of the downhole tool. Terminals extend through the bulkhead, wherein an end of each terminal is in electrical communication with one of a plurality of electrical wires. Boots each extend about the end of a corresponding one of the terminals. A retaining block has holes each receiving one of the boots. A housing positioned around the retaining block is coupled to the bulkhead, thus positionally fixing the retaining block relative to the bulkhead.

A connector for use in connecting a communication element to a transmission line in a wired pipe segment includes a first female end adapted to surround and make electrical contact with a coupler connection that extends away from a communication element of the coupler; a second female end adapted to receive an inner conductor of a coaxial cable; and an inner connection element formed on an inner surface of the connector adapted to electrically connect the coupler connection and the inner conductor, the inner connection element formed such that it does not completely surround at least one of the inner conductor and the coupler connection.

Each of the openings has a tapered end portion configured to receive a corresponding one of the plurality of projections of the cable kit to form a mechanical seal with the cable kit.
