An electrical connector assembly includes a connector housing in which a pair of electrically conductive busbars are disposed, a metallic cooling plate in thermal communication with major surfaces of the pair of electrically conductive busbars, and a dielectric structure that is configured to prevent electrical contact between the pair of electrically conductive busbars and the cooling plate.

CABLE CONNECTOR WITH IMPROVED TERMINAL AND WIRE HOLDING PORTIONS
20220393387 · 2022-12-08 ·

A cable connector includes an outer housing, an inner housing including a first housing and a second housing assembled with each other, and a cable assembly retained between the first housing and the second housing. The cable assembly includes a pair of terminals, two wires, and a sleeve. The second housing defines a group of first holding portions for holding the wires. The first housing and the second housing each define a group of second holding portions for commonly holding the sleeve.

HOUSING FOR ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS, AND CONTROL UNIT
20220386492 · 2022-12-01 ·

A housing for electronic components, for example, for a control unit of a vehicle is disclosed. The housing comprises a housing element having an upper wall and a peripheral wall surrounding three sides of the housing element, the upper wall and the peripheral wall defining an interior for receiving one or more electronic components, the housing element having on one side a substantially U-shaped receiving portion for receiving a connection element. The housing element may have a ventilation portion configured to allow a gas flow between the interior and the exterior of the housing element. The ventilation portion comprises a flow chamber having first and second opening, the first opening communicating with the atmosphere and the second opening communicating with the interior of the housing element. A corresponding control unit comprising such a housing is also disclosed.

Plug assembly for data cables

A plug arrangement for use with cables (K) having cable plugs (S) comprises a housing (1) for receiving the cable plug (S), a clamping element (5) encompassing the cable (K) and accommodated in the housing (1), which clamping element (5) clamps, in a compressed state, the cable (K), and a clamping sleeve (3) for establishing a threaded connection with the housing (1). When the threaded connection is tightened, the clamping element (5) is braced in the housing (1) and the cable (K) is clamped in the clamping element (5). The front end of the clamping element (5) facing the cable plug (S) is configured for receiving and positioning the cable plug (S) in a predetermined position at the front end of the clamping element (5) or is provided with at least one stop for the cable plug (S). Thus, when the threaded connection is tightened, the cable plug (S) is also positioned with respect to the housing (1) and the clamping element (5) so as not to rotate and fixed.

Thermal mitigation for USB power delivery

Thermal mitigation features may be included in a Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable assembly or in the USB receptacle portion of a device. In one aspect, one or both ends of a USB cable jacket may have greater thermal conductivity than the portion between them. The portion having the greater thermal conductivity may dissipate excess heat from the cable into the environment. In another aspect, a USB cable connector or the USB receptacle portion of a device may include a thermoelectric heat pump. The thermoelectric heat pump may move excess heat from the cable assembly or receptacle into a portion of the cable assembly or device that dissipates the heat into the environment.

Connector assembly device having a connector position assurance device

A connector assembly device includes a connector element and a connector position assurance (CPA) device mounted to move relative to the connector element between a delivery position and a locking position. The connector element includes a first locking device and a second locking device. The CPA device includes a locking lance that has an associated first locking device configured to implement a first form-fitting connection with the first locking device of the connector element and an associated second locking device configured to implement a second form-fitting connection with the second locking device of the connector element in the locking position. The form-fitting connections prevent any movement of the CPA device in a direction from the locking position towards the delivery position and take place in different planes.
