A connector 20 to be fit into an open receptacle 13 of a male connector 10 includes a terminal 25 connected to an end part of a wire 22, and a housing 40 for holding the terminal 25. The housing 40 includes a lead-out portion 54 for leading out the wire 22 connected to the terminal 25 to outside, a protruding portion 46 protruding outward to face a tip part of the receptacle 13, an external fitting portion 50 projecting from the protruding portion 46 toward the receptacle 13 to be externally fit to the tip part of the receptacle 13 and expose an outer surface of a base end side of the receptacle 13, and a reinforcing rib 60A, 60B connected to the lead-out portion 54 and the protruding portion 46.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR STRUCTURE
A connector structure configured to electrically connect an electrical component to a circuit board is disclosed. The connector structure may include a female connector secured to the circuit board; and a male terminal extending from the electrical component and inserted into the female connector. The female connector may include a connector housing secured to the circuit board; a connector-side terminal located within the connector housing and including a female contact configured to receive the male terminal; and a contact sleeve located within the connector housing and secured to the female contact. The female contact may be displaceable within the connector housing. The male terminal may be deformed so as to press the contact sleeve against a frictional inner surface of the connector housing by a restoring force of the male terminal.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR STRUCTURE
A connector structure configured to electrically connect an electrical component to a circuit board is disclosed. The connector structure may include a female connector secured to the circuit board; and a male terminal extending from the electrical component and inserted into the female connector. The female connector may include a connector housing secured to the circuit board; a connector-side terminal located within the connector housing and including a female contact configured to receive the male terminal; and a contact sleeve located within the connector housing and secured to the female contact. The female contact may be displaceable within the connector housing. The male terminal may be deformed so as to press the contact sleeve against a frictional inner surface of the connector housing by a restoring force of the male terminal.
Method for producing a plug
A method is provided for producing a plug, having a plastic injection-molded encapsulation, for a fuel pump which arranged in a fuel tank of a motor vehicle. The plug has cables, stranded wires and a ground contact each protruding out of the encapsulation and each connected to encapsulated components. The plug elements and coils are inserted into a base plate. One core of a cable is soldered, welded or crimped to flat plug elements. The coils and stranded wires are each soldered, welded or crimped to a flat plug element. The base plate is inserted into a cavity of an injection mold, such that the cables and the stranded wires protrude out of the cavity through first passage openings and second passage openings, respectively, and cores are arranged in continuous openings of identical cross section in the wall of the injection mold. The cavity is then filled with a plastic.
