Anti-loosing connector

An anti-loosing connector for coupling with a corresponding connector has a tubular body, a nut sleeve and an elastic clamping ring. A plurality of terminals is arranged in the tubular body. The tubular body is inserted in the nut sleeve, and a thread for screwing the corresponding connector is arranged on the nut sleeve. The elastic clamping ring surrounding the nut sleeve is disposed between the tubular body and the nut sleeve. A polygonal annular surface is defined on one of the tubular body and the nut sleeve, the elastic clamping ring is fixed with the other of the tubular body and the nut sleeve, and the polygonal annular surface is pressed by the elastic clamping ring. A multi-step stopper for the elastic clamping ring is provided by the polygonal annular surface, and the tubular body and the nut sleeve are thereby prevented from relatively rotational looseness.

For transmitting signals from a collar based tool to an MWD tool string, the collar based tool is connected to an adapter having a wet connector at its end, and the MWD tool string is connected to a centralizer having another wet connector at its end. The adapter includes a rotatable portion that can be oriented in a predetermined orientation, for example, a direction related to the high side of the bent housing of a mud motor tool. The centralizer and the adapter are stabbed together, thus mating the wet connectors. During stabbing, the MWD tool string orients itself with the predetermined orientation. Also, the wet connectors align themselves.

Shock and vibration resistant bulkhead connector with pliable contacts

A high pressure and temperature, hermetically sealed bulkhead connector with pin and socket contacts for use in logging tools is described. The bulkhead connector comprises (a) one or more contact(s) placed within one or more channels wherein the channels provide a clearance path between contact(s) and bulkhead body and travel at least a partial longitudinal distance between proximal and distal ends. The contact(s) reside in the channel(s) and include at least; an optional movement limiter section, one central elongated section, and one fixed section where the contact(s) is attached to the bulkhead body at the distal end. The body correctly positions respective ends of the contact so that the body secures contact(s) to be parallel to each other and the contact(s) have terminal ends for connection. This arrangement provides at least one pivotable, pliable, free floating contact extending away from the fixed distal end of the bulkhead body.
