Multi-piece housing for submersible pump electrical connector
An electrical connector for a submersible well pump motor has a lower housing with upward protruding bosses. The bosses have parallel axes and a passage. An electrical line extends through each of the passages, each of the electrical lines having a lead sheath. A lead tape wrap is wrapped around an external side wall each of the bosses and a portion of the lead sheath of one of the electrical lines. An upper housing has first and second members that fit on opposite sides of the electrical lines and lower ends that connect to the lower housing. The first and second members have recesses that mate to define cavities, each of the cavities receiving one of the lead tape wraps. A fastener clamps the first and second members of the upper housing together.
ELECTRICAL TERMINAL DEVICE
An electrical terminal device adapted to mount to a structure, and including a electrically non-conductive substructure, an electrically non-conductive cover, a heat resistant shroud, and an electric terminal. The substructure is in contact with the structure. The cover is engaged to the substructure. The substructure and the cover define a chamber, and the substructure defines, at least in-part, a sealed passage in communication with the chamber. The heat resistant shroud substantially covers the cover. The cover is substantially located between the shroud and the substructure. The electric terminal is located in the chamber and is attached to the substructure.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HAVING AN IMPROVED TONGUE PORTION
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a number of conductive terminals affixed to the insulative housing, and a shielding plate affixed to the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a base portion and a mating tongue extending forwardly from the base portion. The conductive terminals are exposed to two opposite surfaces of the insulative housing. The conductive terminals are arranged in upper terminals and lower terminals in two rows. Each row of conductive terminals include a number of high frequency signal terminals. The insulative housing includes a number of receiving slots located at a peripheral edge thereof for inserting the shielding plate to shield between the two rows of conductive terminals.
Hybrid electrical harness and method of making
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for an electrical harness. The electrical harness may include a high temperature segment, a low temperature segment, and a transition segment between the high temperature segment and the low temperature segment. The electrical harness may include a conductor disposed within the electrical harness.

Connector and connector assembly having elastically deformed springs
A connector assembly that includes a first connector and a second connector. The first connector has a spring member press-fitted into a housing thereof. The second connector has a groove in a housing thereof. At the time of mating, the spring member is inserted in the groove in a mating direction to be deformed elastically in a direction intersecting the mating direction. Then, with the spring member of the first connector elastically deformed in the groove of the second connector, looseness between the housing of the first connector and the housing of the second connector is prevented.
Electrical connector having conductive contacts not being corroded
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a number of conductive contacts affixed to the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a base portion and a tongue portion extending forwardly from the base portion. The tongue portion has a stepped portion abutting with the base portion, a horizontal portion located at a front end of the stepped portion, and a boundary line located between the stepped portion and the horizontal portion. The stepped portion is thicker than the horizontal portion. The horizontal portion has two opposite mating surfaces. Each conductive contact has a contacting portion exposed to the mating surface, a connecting portion affixed to the stepped portion and the base portion, and a soldering portion extending outwardly from the base portion. The contacting portion abutting with the boundary line is covered by insulative materials.
Protective connector and applications thereof
A protective connector includes a core assembly structure, mating pins and a mating coupling structure. The core assembly structure has circuitry mounted therein. The mating coupling structure substantially encases the core assembly structure and mates with another connector such that the mating pins of the protective connector are electrically coupled to pins of the other connector. The mating coupling structure is mechanically free-moving with respect to the core assembly structure such that forces applied to the mating coupling structure to mate the protective connector to the other connector are not applied to the circuitry within the core assembly structure.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HAVING AN IMPROVED TONGUE PORTION
An electrical connector includes: a contact module having a base portion, a tongue portion extending forwardly from the base portion, and two rows of conductive terminals, the tongue portion including a front mating portion and a rear thickened portion, each conductive terminal including a contacting portion exposed to two surfaces of the front mating portion and a soldering portion extending outwardly from the base portion, wherein the contact module is constructed of a ceramic flat portion and an insulator.
