ELECTRICAL CABLE BRAID POSITIONING CLIP
A cable assembly and method for terminating an end of a cable. The cable assembly includes a ferrule secured to a cable jacket at the end of the cable. The cable also has a braided shield which extends from the end of the cable to the portion of the inner connector positioned in the ferrule. A transition zone is provided between the end of the cable and an end of a portion of an inner connector positioned in the ferrule. A braid positioning clip engages the braided shield in the transition zone to maintain a relationship of the braided shield to the signal conductors to minimize the degradation of the electrical performance of the cable.
APPARATUS FOR CONNECTING A POWER CABLE
The invention relates to an apparatus for connecting a power cable to an electronic unit of a power tool having at least one clamp for clamping a connecting line of the power cable and a contact element for establishing an electrical contact between the connecting line and the electronic unit. The clamp and the contact element are arranged on a connecting element extending through an opening in a housing element, which spatially separates the clamp from the electronic unit. The opening is sealed by a seal bearing against the connecting element.
STRAIN RELIEF APPARATUS FOR WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLY
A wire connector strain relief apparatus is provided herein. The wire connector strain relief apparatus includes a body having a generally U-shaped cross-section, a first end, and a second end. The first end of the body is configured to receive a wire harness that includes one or more wires to be, or already, connected to an electrical connector. The second end of the body includes one or more structural features configured to engage with one or more structural features of an external surface of the electrical connector to attach to the electrical connector and minimize relative movement between the wire harness and the electrical connector.
Breakaway connectors for coaxial cables
A breakaway coaxial cable connector includes a conductive body configured to engage a cable. The conductive body is configured to be selectively coupled to an interface port to maintain electrical connectivity between the cable and the interface during operation of the connector when a first tension force below a predetermined threshold level is applied between the cable and the interface port, and the conductive body is configured to be selectively de-coupled from the interface port so as to interrupt electrical connectivity between the cable and the interface port during operation of the connector when a second tension force above the predetermined threshold level is applied between the cable and the interface port.
Covering element for an alternator pole
A covering element for an alternator pole includes a body which is provided with a portion adapted to be fitted on the alternator pole and a portion adapted to be fitted on the cable that is connected to the alternator pole. The portion of the body which is adapted to be fitted on the alternator pole is provided with coupling teeth which are adapted to allow coupling to a coupling flange of the alternator pole. At least one of the teeth is elastically yielding so as to allow the coupling of the covering element to different diameters of the coupling flange.
Frictional locking receptacle with programmable release
A method and apparatus for securing an electrical connection formed by a mating structure including prongs of a male assembly and receptacles of a female assembly are provided. In certain embodiments, the electrical connection can be secured by frictional engagement between the plug and receptacle housings. This can be accomplished by forcing a wedge into an interface between the housings or expanding a locking element, such as an elastomeric ring, into the interface. Such locking and releasing of the secure connection can be actuated using a locking nut.
Device housing for an electrical device
Various embodiments include device housing for an electrical device comprising: an inner housing with a first lower shell and a first upper shell; and an outer housing with a second lower shell and a second upper shell. There is a cable insertion opening defined by a cable seating profile in the first lower shell and a flush cable cover profile in the first upper shell for a cable routed to the device; a clamping body retained by the inner housing; and a friction and/or form-fitting contact between the clamping body and the cable can be effected by means of the outer housing when the clamping body is pressed onto an outer surface of the cable by the upper shell of the outer housing.
Outdoor electrical plug and socket cover
A weather proof cover for electrical plug and socket junction which is shaped to accommodate the socket and plug between two hinged parts and provide a weather seal about each power cord associated with the plug and socket said cover including a hinge section joining the two parts along adjacent longitudinal edges, fastening means on the longitudinal edges opposite the hinge edges to securely close the cover, the seals around the power cords located on the end edges of each part, cord gripping devices located on the internal surface of one of said parts to prevent movement of the cords when the cover is closed without applying tension to the attachment of the cords to the plug or socket. The improvement being the provision of a lead restraint mechanism within the space between the two parts.
Resilient cable connector cover having regions of selective stiffness
A cable connector cover includes a unitary body configured to receive a connector mounted to a coaxial cable and comprises an interface portion, an intermediate portion and a cable relief portion. The interface portion has a forward inner surface defining a forward space configured to receive and engage an outer surface of an interface component. The interface portion comprises a first resilient material having a first characteristic softness. The intermediate portion has an intermediate inner surface defining an intermediate space configured to receive and engage an outer surface of a connector body. The intermediate space is smaller than the forward space. The cable relief portion has a rearward inner surface defining a rearward space configured to receive and engage the cable portion. The cable relief portion has a second characteristic softness which is stiffer than the first characteristic softness of the interface portion.
