Provided is a soldering method for soldering a tip end of an electric wire to a soldering portion of a metallic terminal which allows the soldering to be performed with excellent workability. The method includes a damming structure forming step forming a damming structure at a periphery of the soldering portion to dam a solder which is supplied in a molten state with a flux to the soldering portion to keep the solder at the soldering portion, an electric wire setting step setting the tip end of the electric wire at the soldering portion ready for soldering, and a solder supplying step supplying the solder in the molten state with the flux to the soldering portion to perform the soldering.

Misaligned deadend clamp

An electrical connector assembly configured to increase a mechanical hold on a core. The electrical connector assembly includes a connector member, a plurality of housing segments forming a collet having a tubular shape, and a sleeve having a tubular shape configured to slidably encase the outer surfaces of the plurality of housing segments in the collet.

Connector

A connector includes an electric wire and a housing having an electric wire accommodating portion which is opened upward and which is configured to hold the electric wire. A folded portion folded back to one side toward a cover of the electric wire is provided at a tip end part of a contact portion of a conductor core wire of the electric wire. A groove that is opened forward and extends in a front-rear direction of the housing is formed on a front end surface located at a front end of the wire accommodating portion of the housing. The folded portion is engaged to the groove so that the electric wire is held by the housing.

Wire dress cover for an electrical connector

An electrical connector includes a housing having a mating end and a wire end with a base and terminal channels extending through the base into the mating end. The terminal channels receive terminals mated with a mating electrical connector. The base has a wire support supporting wires extending from the terminals. The wire support includes support walls forming wire channels. A wire dress cover is coupled to the wire support and includes an end wall and wire pushers extending from the end wall. The wire pushers load the wires into the wire channels. The wire pushers are received in the wire channels to hold the wires in the wire channels. The wires are supported at the rear by the wire pushers and at both sides by the support walls to provide strain relief for the wires in the wire support.

Audio connector with integral strain relief

A connector assembly with rounded edges, in which an end of a female connector is formed in a round shape and a guide groove having an inner dimension receiving a wire is formed at an end portion to guide the wire to be curved to correspond to the round shape at a wire harness inlet end and guide the curved wire to be received in the guide groove, thereby guiding reduction of tension of the curved wire and prevention of interference with an external structure.

Communication system having a panel mount connector assembly

A panel mount connector assembly includes a panel mount bracket having a cavity with a front opening. The assembly includes a connector movably received in the cavity holding contacts at a mating end and cables extending from a cable end. The assembly includes a biasing mechanism received in the cavity engaging the connector and forward biasing the connector in the cavity. The biasing mechanism has a biasing force exceeding a mating force with the mating connector such that the connector remains forward biased in the cavity during mating with the mating connector. The biasing mechanism allows the connector to move rearward when the biasing force is exceeded.
