A method for manufacturing a cable with a connector is provided. In the method, a contact is attached to a reinforcing wire. The reinforcing wire to which the contact is attached is inserted into an insertion portion of a housing. The housing is connected to one end of a cable. The reinforcing wire is secured to the cable by a securing member.

Connector assembly with retainer

A connector assembly includes a conductor retainer that is configured to relieve retain a conductor within a connector body of the connector assembly. The conductor retainer causes the conductor to helically twist at least 90 degrees about a longitudinal axis. A helical channel may be defined in the conductor retainer to cause the conductor to helically twist. Multiple conductors may be terminated within the connector assembly and the conductor retainer may define multiple helical channels. Some of the helical channels may have a right hand helical twist while others have a left hand helical twist. A method of manufacturing a connector assembly with these features is also presented.

Antenna module

An antenna module includes: a magnetic core; a first electric wire constituting a coil into which the magnetic core is inserted; a capacitor having first and second terminals and connected in series to the coil; a second electric wire connected to the capacitor; and a base including a capacitor accommodating portion and a core accommodating portion, wherein the capacitor accommodating portion has first and second accommodating portions, the first terminal and a connecting portion of the first electric wire are connected to each other in the first accommodating portion, the second terminal and a connecting portion of the second electric wire are connected to each other in the second accommodating portion, and a portion of an opposite side to the connecting portion in the first electric wire and the second electric wire constitute a harness.

Connectors for landscape lighting systems

A connector includes a cable tray configured to receive and retain a cable in a stable position and couple with a top cap configured to create an electrical connection with the cable as the top cap is manipulated in a predetermined manner while coupled with the cable tray. An upper surface of the cable tray is configured to receive the cable (e.g., while the cable is generally parallel with the longitudinal axis of the cable tray). The cable tray also includes a finger extending beyond the first end for some distance longitudinally. The finger includes a protrusion that protrudes to some extent in a transverse direction so that a cable-accommodating gap is defined between the protrusion and the first end. The protrusion is configured to bear against the cable and retain the cable in the stable position when the cable is inserted between the protrusion and the first end (before, during and/or after an electrical connection is established).

Lamp socket

The lamp socket includes a connecting seat, a lamp cap, a first conductive wire and a second conductive wire. The connecting seat has a first passage provided therein, a first threaded section for thread connection with a lamp and an accommodating portion or hole in the first threaded section. The lamp cap is detachably provided at the connecting seat, and has a first conductive region and a second conductive region, the second conductive region having a second threaded section adapted to the first threaded section. A thread gap is formed between the first threaded section and the second threaded section. A limiting portion which may be formed as a mass enlargement at the end of the first wire cooperates with the accommodating portion or hole to prevent pull out of the wire from the thread group.

Electrical plug connector

A panel mount connector assembly includes a panel mount bracket having a cavity with a front opening. The assembly includes a connector movably received in the cavity holding contacts at a mating end and cables extending from a cable end. The assembly includes a biasing mechanism received in the cavity engaging the connector and forward biasing the connector in the cavity. The biasing mechanism has a biasing force exceeding a mating force with the mating connector such that the connector remains forward biased in the cavity during mating with the mating connector. The biasing mechanism allows the connector to move rearward when the biasing force is exceeded.
