A connector system having a plurality of high-speed connector modules, an anti-decoupling connector shell, and a multi axis backshell is provided. The high-speed module provides a low signal degradation electrically conductive signal path for terminated wires of twisted pairs of wires. The high-speed module additionally provides for dense placement of the terminated wires within the connector shell. The connector shell provides an anti-decoupling mechanism to prevent decoupling of the connector shell from a socket type connector shell resulting from typical forces applied to the connector shell. The multi-axis backshell provides mechanisms to toollessly adjust the angle of the various components making up the backshell which in turn provides a specifically angled path for cables contained within the backshell.

Adjustable cable kink protection and cables having this kink protection

The invention refers to a kink protection for prefabricated cables having first and second sleeves which fit around part of the cable or of a plug connector adapted to be assembled in different relative positions. Each of the two sleeves is designed in general as a rectilinear tube section with a longitudinal axis. One end of the first sleeve has two integrally formed projections in the form of two regular octagons having the same spanner width, which are arranged on both sides of the longitudinal axis and the rotational axes of symmetry of which coincide and perpendicularly intersect the longitudinal axis. One end of the second sleeve has four elongated extensions which are distributed in a rotationally symmetrical manner about the longitudinal axis, each extending parallel to the longitudinal axis. Two mutually adjacent extensions form a spanner jaw having a jaw width corresponding to the spanner width of the octagon.

CONTACT DEVICE

A contact device comprising a contact housing, a base and a locking device. The base delimits a base interior. The contact housing engages with the base interior. The locking device comprises a locking structure and a locking pin at an outer housing circumferential side of the contact housing. The locking structure comprises a face spline and an unlocking section adjoining the face spline in an axial direction, the unlocking section extending around the contact housing in sections in the circumferential direction in the shape of a groove, the locking pin connected to the base and protrudes into the base interior. The contact housing may be slid between a first axial position and a second axial position in an axial direction relative to the base. In the first axial position the locking pin engages with the face spline. In the second axial position the locking pin engages with the unlocking section.

Terminal Insertion Quality Monitoring System

A terminal insertion quality monitoring system includes an acceleration sensor disposed on a gripper of a terminal insertion equipment and configured to detect a dynamic acceleration of the gripper while using the gripper to insert a terminal into a housing, a control parameter acquisition device configured to acquire a plurality of control parameters of the terminal insertion equipment while inserting the terminal into the housing, and an artificial intelligence system adapted to classify the detected dynamic acceleration and the acquired control parameters into a plurality of different insertion modes by analyzing and calculating the detected dynamic acceleration and the acquired control parameters. The different insertion modes have a plurality of different grades of terminal insertion quality. The artificial intelligence system is configured to monitor a terminal insertion quality of the terminal according to the insertion mode to which the detected dynamic acceleration and the acquired control parameters correspond.

ELECTRICAL PLUG CONNECTOR

An electrical plug connector terminates a twisted pair electrical cable. The electrical plug connector includes a base and a plug housing holding electrical contacts therebetween. The base includes a divider structure including separation walls. At least one of the separation walls defines an abutment surface against which a forward end of the electrical cable abuts when terminated by the electrical plug connector. The plug housing defines slots so that the electrical contacts are accessible. The electrical plug connector axially secures an outer jacket of the electrical cable against rearward movement relative to base. The at least one separation wall inhibits forward axial movement of the outer jacket of the electrical cable relative to the base.

Radio Frequency Cable Housing Solution with Self Aligning and Reconfiguration Capability

A method and apparatus is presented for strain relief for mil-spec RF cabling connectors. When the RF signals are carried on the cables, they are either attached to connectors to increase their lengths or they get attached to hardware assembly that receives and transmits RF signals. At connections, strain relief is provided so that any movement of the cables does not convey stress and strain to the points where cable joins the connector or its mate. A concise, space restricted strain relief solution is provided by use of clamp, cover or shrink tubing to transfer cables in all four directions. The concentric cables line up in small dimensions and are replaceable individually as opposed to discard of entire mesh of cables on single cable failure.

Transmission Line with Foldable Bracket
