Connector With Responsive Inner Diameter
A coaxial cable connector includes an outer barrel having a front end and a rear end. The connector includes an inner sleeve within the outer barrel defining a bore, the inner sleeve moving between uncompressed and compressed conditions and including a finger which is formed in the inner sleeve for resilient movement between a neutral position in which the finger is out of the bore, and a deformed position in which the finger is deformed into the bore. The finger includes a base formed to the inner sleeve and a free end. Axial movement of the inner sleeve with respect to the outer barrel from a compressed condition to an uncompressed condition imparts movement to the finger from the neutral position to the deformed position.
COVER-EQUIPPED CONNECTOR
A connector (10) includes a connector housing (12) fittable to a mating connector (11), a wire cover (14) disposed at a position spaced apart rearward from the connector housing (12) in a fitting direction to the mating connector (11) and configured to cover wires (13) drawn out rearward in the fitting direction from the connector housing (12), and a service cover (15) assembled over the connector housing (12) and the wire cover (14).

CABLE-EQUIPPED CONNECTOR
A cable-equipped connector is provided with a cable including wires, a sheath, a sleeve and a braided wire having a folded portion, a connector housing connected to the wires, and a shield member including a covering portion for covering the connector housing, a barrel portion to be crimped to an end part of the cable where the folded portion is disposed, and a plurality of protrusions extending from the barrel portion toward the sheath. The plurality of protrusions include first and second long protrusions having tip parts sinking into the sheath and first short protrusions shorter than the first and second long protrusions and having such a length that tip parts do not sink into the sheath, but are lockable to the sleeve.
CABLE CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A cable connector assembly for electrical and/or optical cables and for connection to a complementary connector assembly. A housing for receiving the contact elements can be connected to a clamping sleeve via a threaded connection. A partially radially compressible clamping member surrounds and grips the cable at the latest when the threaded connection of the clamping sleeve and the housing is tightened. A tightening sleeve, having a length less than the clamping sleeve, is pushed coaxially over at least a portion of the clamping sleeve. A unidirectional locking mechanism interposed between the clamping sleeve and the tightening sleeve prevents a relative rotation of the tightening sleeve and the clamping sleeve in the tightening direction of the threaded connection between the clamping sleeve and the housing beyond a certain extent. A user can assemble the cable connector assembly manually, but can no longer open it without a tool.
CIRCULAR MODULAR PLUGGABLE CONNECTOR
Connector system comprising a first pluggable electrical connector comprising a substantially circular casing and a terminal unit mounted within the casing, the terminal unit comprising a housing with a module receiving cavity formed within the housing, and a plurality of terminal modules insertably received in the module receiving cavity in a stacked arrangement, each terminal module comprising a plurality of contacts, and a mating second connector pluggably connectable and disconnectable to the first connector, the mating second connector comprising a substantially circular casing and a terminal unit mounted within the casing, the terminal unit comprising a housing and a plurality of terminal modules mounted in a stacked arrangement in said housing, each terminal module comprising a plurality of contacts for pluggable connection to a corresponding said plurality of contacts of said first connector.
Post-less, self-gripping connector for a coaxial cable
A post-less, self-gripping coaxial cable connector for tool-less attachment to an end of a coaxial cable is disclosed. The coaxial cable connector has a body having a forward end and a rearward end and a longitudinal opening. A retainer positioned in the body has a forward section, a rearward section, and a bore. A ring is movably disposed in the retainer. A gripping member having at least one spring finger is friction fit to the body and is radially inwardly biased in a predisposed orientation. The ring has a pusher feature configured to axially move the ring upon force being applied to the pusher feature by a coaxial cable received by the body causing the gripping member to engage the jacket of the coaxial cable when the coaxial cable is installed in the coaxial cable connector.

High density, high speed electrical connector
A modular high speed, high density electrical connector configurable for use in multiple configurations, including a direct attach orthogonal configuration. The connector is assembled with modules that include shielded pairs of signal conductors with mating ends that are rotated approximately 45 degrees with respect to intermediate portions of the signal conductors. The connector may have a mating interface with receptacles in one connector and pins in the mating connector. The pins may be small diameter and may be implemented with superelastic wires so as to resist damage despite having very small effective diameter. A compact mating interface resulting from small diameter mating contact portions may enable other portions of the connector, including the shielding surrounding the signal conductors to be smaller, which may raise the resonant frequency of the connector and extend its bandwidth.
