Garment supported electrode
An electrode assembly attaches to a garment using a pad supporting one or more electrodes for mounting against an inner surface of the garment and a housing arranged to be supported externally on the garment. Connectors on the pad and the housing are arranged to be penetrated through the garment in a non-destructive manner to form a mechanical connection between the pad and the housing that also conductively connects the electrodes on the pad to an electronic component in the housing whereby an electrical signal can be communicated to the electrodes from the housing, for example to deliver an electrical impulse generated by the electronic component through the electrodes in a painful yet non-injurious manner to the user.
GANGED COAXIAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A mated connector assembly includes: a first connector assembly, comprising a plurality of first coaxial connectors mounted on a substrate, each of the first coaxial connectors connected with a respective first coaxial cable, and further comprising a latch pivotally mounted to the substrate, the latch having an arm with a free end; a second connector assembly, comprising a plurality of second coaxial connectors and a shell, each of the second coaxial connectors connected with a respective second coaxial cable, the shell defining a plurality of electrically isolated second cavities, each of the second coaxial connectors being located in a respective second cavity and mounted therein to float radially and axially relative to each of the other second coaxial connectors; wherein a slot is present is the shell, the slot providing access to one of the second cavities from outside the shell; wherein in a mated condition each of the first coaxial connectors is mated with a respective second coaxial connector; and wherein the latch is pivotable between an unlatched position, in which the free end of the arm is absent from the slot, and a latched position, in which the free end of the arm of the latch extends through the slot and engages a second coaxial connector; and wherein the first and second connector assemblies are secured in the mated condition by the latch when the latch is in the latched position.
Electrical connector protector plate with terminal position assurance
A protector plate for use with an electrical connector has a protector body. The protector body has a front plate face and an opposed back plate face. The protector plate includes one or more terminal openings that pass through the protector body. A plurality of staged locks are attached to the protector body for relative rotational movement. The staged locks extend beyond the front plate face. The staged locks also extend beyond the back plate face.
Electric connector
An electric connector includes an insulative seat, a circuit board, a flat cable, a latch and an actuating slider. The insulative seat includes a main body and a cover. An action room and a sliding trough are formed between the cover and the main body. The circuit board is received in the main body. The circuit board is extended with a tongue having printed terminals. An end of the flat cable is embedded in the main body and electrically connected to the printed terminals. The latch is received in the action room. The latch has a root with an insert and an extremity with a hook, respectively. The latch has an actuating portion with an elastic member. The actuating slider is received in the insulative seat and is slidable along the sliding trough. The acting slider pushes the actuating portion away from the cover to make the hook retract.
High voltage connector assembly having improved female and male housings with a female terminal position assurance (TPA) device, and an improved method for improving clearance and creepage in the high voltage connector assembly
A high voltage connector assembly having improved female and male housings with a female terminal position assurance (TPA) device, and a method for improving clearance and creepage of the electrical path in the high voltage connector assembly. The female housing includes an intermediate upper portion having apertures for respectively receiving front downward extending members of frontward extending members of the female TPA device to finally lock high voltage electrical terminals in the female housing, and to place the female TPA device in a full-lock position inside the female housing. When fully assembled, the clearance and creepage of the electrical path in the high voltage connector assembly extends in a substantially vertical direction from the high voltage electrical terminals, and extends along a separator wall of the male housing and towards a rear portion of the female housing in a substantially horizontal direction across an intermediate upper portion of the female housing and into adjacent high voltage electrical terminals. Also, when in a full-lock position, the TPA device, in its entirety, resides outside of the female housing with the exception of the downward extending members in such a manner as to not require any part of the TPA device to enter the cavities that house the terminals while being assembled or while resting in a pre-lock position to allow the terminals to be substantially fully encapsulated in all directions by a continuous insulating material.
CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR DEVICE
A connector includes a housing body, a lock arm and a sub lock portion. The lock arm and the sub lock portion lock a mating housing to hold the housing body and the mating housing in a connected state. The lock arm is shaped to project from the housing body and be deflectable and deformable. The sub lock portion is arranged at a position facing the lock arm in a deflecting direction of the lock arm in the housing body.
Quick disconnect electrical connector with circular contacts
An electrical connector assembly for mating with a mating connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a housing with a cable receiving portion and a mating portion. The housing has a first surface and an oppositely facing second surface. A mating projection extends from the first surface in a direction away from the second surface. The mating projection has a circular cross-sectional configuration. The mating projection has an angled wall which extends from the first surface to a mating face, the angled wall is angled relative to a plane of the first surface and a plane of the mating face. The mating face has contacts extending therethrough. The contacts have circular engagement sections arranged concentrically about a center of the mating face. A securing recess is provided in the angled wall, the securing recess extends about the outside circumference of the angled wall.
Coaxial connector assembly with alignment member
An alignment device for use in an electrical connector or electrical connector assembly having coaxial terminals. The alignment device includes a planar plate portion having a first wall and an oppositely facing second wall. A plurality of coaxial terminal receiving openings extend through the plate portion. The coaxial terminal receiving openings are configured to receive mating ends of the coaxial terminals. Alignment members extend from the second wall of the plate portion in a direction away from the first wall, the alignment members are positioned proximate the coaxial terminal receiving openings.
