Water-resistant electrical connector assembly
A connector assembly of the present invention includes a first connector having a first electrical-connection member arranged on a base member, and a second connector having a second electrical-connection member arranged on a base member at a position opposite that of the first electrical-connection member. The first connector and the second connector further include engagement members at positions opposite each other. The first electrical-connection member includes an elastic protrusion and a first electrode arranged at a tip of the protrusion. The second electric-connection member includes a recess and a second electrode arranged at a bottom of the recess. At least one of the base member of the first connector and the base member of the second connector has flexibility. When the engagement members engage, the first electrode and the second electrode are brought into contact, and the protrusion and the recess are brought into contact.
Detachment mechanism and indicator for mobile mount portable radio
A ruggedized mobile mount for a portable handheld radio, including a detachment mechanism and indicator for removably attaching the handheld radio to the mobile mount is disclosed. In one embodiment, the detachment mechanism includes a mechanical indicator configured to indicate an attached and detached state of the handheld radio.
HIGH DENSITY CONNECTOR
High density pluggable electrical connector having a number of electrical contacts exceeding sixty and a contact density on a plugging interface of the connector of at least forty contacts per square centimeter, comprising a casing and a terminal unit mounted within the casing, the terminal unit comprising a housing with a module receiving cavity formed within the housing, and a plurality of terminal modules insertably received in the module receiving cavity in a stacked arrangement. Each terminal module comprises a plurality of contacts mounted in a dielectric terminal module housing, the terminal modules having a width W to height H ratio W/H greater than three.
MODULAR PLUG CONNECTOR SYSTEM
Embodiments of a modular plug connector system for vehicles may include a module housing having a first housing part with a plurality of uniform first plug places having interfaces for receiving a respective first adapter from a first adapter group, wherein the first adapter group has a plurality of first adapters of different types which have, on their outer sides, uniform interfaces for positioning in the first plug places of the first housing part, wherein the adapters have a different internal geometry for accommodating differently designed plug connectors. The module housing also has a second housing part with a plurality of uniform second plug places having interfaces for receiving a respective second adapter from a second adapter group, wherein the second adapter group has a plurality of second adapters of different types which have, on their outer sides, uniform interfaces for positioning in the second plug places of the second housing part, wherein the adapters have a different internal geometry for accommodating differently designed mating connectors. The outer sides of the first adapter and the second adapter and their corresponding plug places are may form a primary safety device for securing the adapters in their respective plug places when the corresponding adapter is inserted into an end position in the plug places.
SECONDARY SECURING MEANS, ELECTRICAL PLUG CONNECTOR AND ELECTRICAL PLUG CONNECTION
A secondary securing means for locking an electrical plug connection of a first electrical plug connector and a mating plug connector includes a securing element and a plug-in prevention means. By a closing movement, the securing element can be moved from a preliminary latching position into a locking position in which the securing element mechanically secures the plugged plug connection. The securing element is operatively connected to the plugging prevention means in such a way that, during the closing movement of the securing element, the plug-in prevention means can be moved from a home position in which the plugging prevention means blocks a complete insertion of the mating plug connector into the first plug connector, to a clearing position in which the plug-in prevention means clears the displacement path between the mating plug connector and the first plug connector complete insertion of the mating plug connector into the first plug connector The plug-in prevention means moving from the home position into the clearing position by rotation about an axis of rotation or along a support element.
Electrical connector and method for assembling an electrical connector
The invention relates to an electrical connector (2) comprising a coding housing (4) for electrical and mechanical connection to a compatible connector (3) and comprising a plug body (6) for electrical and mechanical connection to an electrical assembly (5, 14, 15, 16), wherein the compatible connector (3) can be connected to the coding housing (4) along an insertion direction (A), and wherein the coding housing (4) and the plug body (6) have a mechanical connecting device (8). It is provided that the connecting device (8) is designed in order to connect the coding housing (4) and the plug body (6) to one another in an interlocking manner in the insertion direction (A), wherein the connecting device (8) prespecifies an assembly movement (B), which differs from the insertion direction (A), in order to connect the coding housing (4) and the plug body (6) to one another.
CONNECTOR DEVICE USING LID MEMBER, AND LID MEMBER
Provided are: a connector device using a lid member having a simple structure and reliably held on a connector; and the lid member. The connector device includes a connector having a metal shell forming at least part of a fitting space in which a partner connector is fitted, and a resin lid member provided detachably from the fitting space. The lid member includes an insertion portion to be inserted into the fitting space along the direction of fitting the partner connector into the fitting space, and a closing portion configured to close an opening of the fitting space when the insertion portion is inserted into the fitting space. The insertion portion includes an elastic piece extending from the closing portion. The elastic piece includes a protruding portion biased to an inner wall of the shell when the insertion portion is inserted into the fitting space and protruding in a biasing direction. A dent portion dented in the biasing direction β1 is formed at the inner wall. The protruding portion is fitted in the dent portion when the insertion portion is inserted into the fitting space.
Plug connector assembly
A plug connector assembly includes a first plug connector part arranged on a printed circuit board (PCB) and a second plug connector part. Stamped/bent parts are positioned next to respective sides of the first plug connector part and are fastened to the PCB. In one variation, each stamped/bent part forms a spring arm, and when the plug connector parts are connected, end sections of the spring arms engage in respective detent recesses (or notches) in a base body of the second plug connector part thereby fixing the plug connector parts together. In another variation, each stamped/bent part has a detent recess, and a base body of the second plug connector part has spring arms on respective sides of the base body which lock with the detent recesses in the stamped/bent parts when the plug connector parts are connected thereby fixing the plug connector parts together.
