A connector assembly is provided, including a plug including a plug casing defining a housing, and a plug polarizing socket arranged in the housing; a base including a base casing configured to be assembled with the plug casing, the base casing including a base polarizing pin matching the plug polarizing socket and configured to fit together with the plug polarizing pin during assembly of the plug and base casings; and a snap-fitting component supported by the base polarizing pin and by the plug casing, and configured to be activated when the base polarizing pin is in an end of travel position in the housing of the plug casing.

A plug and socket combination together with a light source for achieving the look and effect of a recessed lighting fixture with only a standard electrical junction box and without any type of recessed lighting housing. For renovations, a plug and socket combination can be used with an existing conventional recessed lighting housing.

A connector includes contacts, a housing and a mounting metal fitting. The mounting metal fitting possesses a joined section to be joined to a substrate. The joined section is exposed from a back surface of the housing. Each of the contacts possesses an exposed section exposed from the back surface of the housing. The housing possesses a protrusion and a recess. The protrusion is provided between the joined section and at least part of the exposed sections of the contacts, and protrudes from the back surface. The recess is provided between the protrusion and at least part of the exposed sections of the contacts, and is set lower than an end face of the protrusion to face the substrate.

Disclosed is a push-button lock for locking a plug-in connector housing. The lock has a push-button body with a cylindrical unlocking recess containing an unlocking pin. The appropriate interaction of an outer contour of the unlocking pin, an inner contour of a through-opening of the plug-in connector housing and the push-button body by at least one locking element and two springs allows the plug-in connector housing to be locked and unlocked with great ease of use, the operating concept being particularly self-explanatory.

An adapter for mating with a receptacle comprises a cylindrical outer conductor, a columnar center conductor disposed in the outer conductor, and an insulator disposed between the outer conductor and the center conductor. The outer conductor has a recess in an inner wall at a first end of the outer conductor. The insulator electrically isolates the outer conductor from the center conductor.

The present invention aims to miniaturize a housing. Disclosed is a connector including a female housing (10) having a terminal accommodating chamber (11) formed therein, a first terminal fitting (24) inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber (11), an elastically displaceable lock arm (12) formed in the female housing (10), an accommodating recess (14) formed in the female housing (10) and communicating with a deflection space (13) of the lock arm (12), a terminal holding member (41) mounted in the accommodating recess (14), and a pair of second terminal fittings (58) connected to a twisted pair wire (59) and attached to the terminal holding member (41).

A latch assembly is provided in a receptacle in a pin-and-sleeve type electrical connector used to capture a plug of the pin-and-sleeve electrical connector. The latch assembly has a housing with a cover, a plurality of latches and a corresponding plurality of latch lever arm extending from a latch lever, such that pivotable movement of the latch lever is translated to rotational movement of the latches between a plug capture position and a plug release position.

An electrical connector may be provided for connection to a mating electrical contact in an insertion direction. The connector has an inner casing in which an electrical bushing contact having a locking element, which can be moved parallel to the insertion direction for setting a contact force, can be fixed to the mating contact, which can be inserted into the bushing contact. At least one axial end of the locking element may protrude laterally out of the inner casing. The connector also has an outer casing in which the inner casing can be accommodated. A locking element fixing means, which can be fixed on the outer casing in a stationary manner against movement parallel to the insertion direction and also engages in the axial end of the locking element, is also provided, allowing a movement of the inner casing relative to the outer casing parallel to the insertion direction.

A connector position assurance (CPA) member for assuring the engagement of a female housing with a male housing. The CPA member includes arms designed to stably and securely fit with apertures formed by the female housing. Also, the female housing includes a connector latch which engages with the CPA member and which used to securely hold together the female housing and the male housing.

A plug connector pluggable with a mating connector in a connecting direction has a locking spring. The locking spring exerts a force on a pressure chamfer of the mating connector acting in the connecting direction when the plug connector is fully plugged together with the mating connector.
