Connector and connector assembly
Provided is a housing including a bottom wall, a front-end wall, side walls, and a mating space. Each of the side walls includes a locking protrusion configured to engage with a counterpart locking protrusion locking protrusion of a counterpart housing when the counterpart housing is inserted into the mating space. Each of the side walls also includes an auxiliary-metal-fixture mounting portion configured to be loaded with an auxiliary metal fixture having a bottom end that is to be fixed to a surface of a board. The terminal is configured to be loaded in the front-end wall, and includes a connection part having a bottom end that is to be fixed to the surface of the board. The bottom wall has a surface facing the surface of the board, slanted surfaces are formed respectively on the left side edge and the right side edge of the surface of the bottom wall so that each slanted surface extends, in the front-to-rear direction of the sidewall, towards the outer side of the housing with a gradually widening gap with the surface of the board.
MAGNETIC CABLE ADAPTERS AND CONNECTORS AND METHODS OF INSTALLING CABLES IMPLEMENTING SAME
A magnetic adapter for a cable connector includes a main body having an opening, a compression surface exposed within the opening and configured to compress a biasing retention clip of the cable connector, at least one locking surface configured to secure the biasing retention clip in a second non-locking position; and at least one magnet adjacent the opening. When the biasing retention clip is positioned within the opening, the compression surface causes the biasing retention clip to move from a first locking position where the retention clip is in a fully biased position to the second non-locking position where the retention clip is compressed.
Connector and connector structure
A connector includes: an outer housing including an arm that protrudes from a first wall portion to a space portion surrounded by a housing main unit; an inner housing inside the housing main unit; and a detection member supported between the first wall portion and the inner housing slidably. The housing main unit has an opening portion in which a counterpart housing having a protrusion is inserted. The arm includes an arm main unit with flexibility extending toward the opening portion and a lock tab protruding from the arm main unit. When the counterpart housing is inserted, the arm main unit is elastically deformed to enable the lock tab to ride over and lock the protrusion. When the lock tab completes riding over, the lock tab allows the detection member to move toward the opening portion.
RELEASABLE POWER ASSEMBLY
A releasable power assembly prevents damage to plugs and receptacles connected to refrigerated shipping containers (reefers). Reefers are temporarily stored in shipping port reefer scaffolds and then loaded onto or unloaded off of ground transportation or freighters. However, errors in port command and control systems may result in the failure to unplug reefers prior to loading or unloading. Conventional reefer power plugs and receptacles are twist-locked together and damaged or destroyed if not manually disconnected prior to reefer movement. An advantageous releasable power assembly automatically unlatches before reaching a breaking point for failure to disconnect plug and receptacle.
CONNECTOR
A first housing 10 includes a resiliently deformable lock arm 30. The lock arm 30 has a lock surface 34 to be arranged to contact a front surface of a panel 90 with the first housing 10 arranged in a mounting hole 91 of the panel 90. A second housing 40 includes a space portion 53 into which an arm plate 72 of a lever 70 is arranged, leg portions 57 rising from the side of an outer wall 52 of the space portion 53 while facing each other, and a bridge portion 58 extending between the leg portions 57 facing each other. The bridge portion 58 includes a releasing portion 65 capable of releasing a state where the lock surface 34 is in contact with the front surface of the panel 90.
STRAP CONNECTOR WITH STRAP UNLOCKING DEVICE
The present disclosure discloses a strap connector. The strap connector includes an insulating body having a tongue plate, a number of conductive terminals and a strap unlocking device installed on the insulating body. The strap unlocking device includes a locking piece for locking with a mating connector and a pull strap connected to the locking piece. The strap connector further includes a guide rail piece arranged separately from the locking piece and installed on the insulating body. A part of the pull strap is located between the guide rail piece and the insulating body. As a result, the structure of the strap unlocking device is simplified, and it is convenient to install the strap unlocking device on the insulating body.
CHASSIS CONNECTOR
A chassis connector comprises a housing with an insertion opening (2) for a complementary cable connector, a contact carrier inserted in the housing (1) or formed therein, electrical or optical contacts fixed in the contact carrier, and a front plate which is arranged on the front side of the housing and which, together with an annular ridge extending along at least a part of the circumference of the insertion opening, forms the front end and the outer delimitation of the insertion opening. The front plate is made of a light-dispersing or light-conducting material and has at least one coupling surface for light from an external light source.
LC TYPE CONNECTOR WITH PUSH/PULL ASSEMBLY FOR RELEASING CONNECTOR FROM A RECEPTACLE USING A CABLE BOOT
A LC type connector assembly with a push/pull cable boot integrally formed with a protrusion that accepts an adapter release for releasing a fiber optic connector from an adapter port.
Connector
A connector includes a body and a contact that is inserted into the body. The contact includes a protruding part that is protruded in a direction orthogonal to an insertion direction of the contact, a protrusion that is provided on an outer periphery of the contact, and an overhanging part that overhangs in the direction orthogonal to the insertion direction. The body includes, on an inner surface thereof, a guide groove that is fitted with the protruding part and is extended in the insertion direction, a housing part that has an internal dimension for press-fitting the contact, which includes the protrusion, thereto, and a press-fitting part that has an internal dimension for press-fitting the contact, which includes the overhanging part, thereto. An insertion distance A of the protruding part, an insertion distance B of the protrusion, and an insertion distance C of the overhanging part satisfy a relation A>B>C.
