CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
The described connector assemblies are useful in wire-to-board systems. The assemblies which include a free-end connector that is attached to a twin-ax cable, and a fixed-end connector that is attached to a board. Embodiments include a free-end terminal set including a first signal terminal, a second signal terminal and a ground plate. The ground plate has a horseshoe shape and provides a ground terminal on opposing sides of the first and second signal terminals. Additionally, embodiments include a locking system between the free-end connector and fixed-end connector, and lead designs for the fixed-end connector utilizing a similar horseshoe shape as that used for the ground plate of the free-end connector.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
An electrical connector includes a plug that mates with a receptacle. In a medical application, the plug is connected to electrical leads that pass through a patient's skin to an implanted medical device in the patient's body, while the receptacle is connected to external medical equipment. All electrical contacts in the plug are on internal portions. The receptacle includes annular contacts that contact the internal electrical contacts on the plug when the plug and receptacle are properly mated. The receptacle includes a plurality of annular electrical contacts that have a first diameter and are separated by a plurality of annular insulators having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter.
LC TYPE CONNECTOR WITH PUSH/PULL ASSEMBLY FOR RELEASING CONNECTOR FROM A RECEPTACLE USING A CABLE BOOT
A LC type connector assembly with a push/pull cable boot integrally formed with a protrusion that accepts an adapter release for releasing a fiber optic connector from an adapter port.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
An electrical connector includes a plug that mates with a receptacle. In a medical application, the plug is connected to electrical leads that pass through a patient's skin to an implanted medical device in the patient's body, while the receptacle is connected to external medical equipment. The plug is small in diameter so the size of the opening in the patient's skin can be minimized. All electrical contacts in the plug are on internal portions. The receptacle includes spring-loaded contacts that contact the internal electrical contacts on the plug when the plug and receptacle are properly mated. When the plug is plugged into the receptacle, spring-loaded retention arms in the receptacle lock into place on the plug, retaining the plug in the receptacle.
Plug connector
A plug connector which has a main body, an actuator, a latch, and a block. The latch locks a receptacle of a counterpart plug connector by a push-pull mechanism. The latch can be released by actuation of the actuator. The block prevents the latch from moving into a locking position, in the unplugged state of the connector, i.e. without the seated receptacle. Thus, the connector can adopt two static states, an open state and a closed state.
Accessory support and coupling systems for an accessory support
The present disclosure provides a coupling system for coupling a medical accessory to an accessory support is provided. The present disclosure also provides a system for powering a medical accessory with an accessory support.
Connector position assurance member
A connector position assurance device having a resiliently deformable beam has a free end spaced from the base portion. A camming member is provided proximate the free end of the beam. The beam has a lockout projection engagement member provided proximate the free end of the beam and in-line with the camming member. The engagement surface extends at a first angle such that the engagement surface proximate an outer side wall is closer to the free end than the engagement surface proximate a surface of the camming member. The engagement surface extends at a second angle such that the engagement surface proximate a top surface of the lockout projection engagement member is closer to the free end than the engagement surface proximate a top side of the beam.
HIGH SPEED ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR COMPACT ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS
A connector assembly with latching provided by a rotating latch bar. The connector has a low height, with the rotating latch bar providing secure engagement between mated connectors of the connector assembly. The latch bar may be shaped to provide spring force that urges the mated connectors together. The connector assembly may be formed with a cable connector and a board connector. The low height of the board connector enables the connector to be mounted close to high speed electronic components, such as a processor, even if covered by a heat sink, as the connector may fit under the heat sink. The cable connector may be coupled, via a cable, to an I/O connector or other component remote from the high speed electronic component.
ROBUST, MINIATURIZED ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
A connector assembly configured for compact, high speed electronic systems. The assembly includes a board connector and a cable connector that may be mated by moving the cable connector in a mating direction perpendicular to a printed circuit board to which the board connector is mounted. The cable and board connectors may latch when mated and may be unlatched and unmated by pulling on a tab at a top of the cable connector in a direction opposite the mating direction. As a result, little clearance is required around the board connector to access the latching components. Such a connector may enable an electronic device with high signal integrity because the connector can be mounted close to an electronic component that processes high speed signals, providing a short, and high integrity signal paths for high speed signals.
Socket Connector And Connector Assembly
A socket connector includes a housing defining a pair of rows of insertion cavities and an elastic fastener formed on a bottom wall of each insertion cavity. Each row of insertion cavities has at least one insertion cavity. The elastic fastener is adapted to engage a plug connector inserted into the insertion cavity.
