ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY HAVING A CABLE CONNECTOR MODULE
An electronic assembly includes a socket assembly including a cage mounted to a circuit board and a socket connector received in a cavity of the cage. The socket connector includes a substrate holding interposer contacts with compressible upper and lower contact portions. The electronic assembly includes a cable connector module received in the cavity of the cage and coupled to the socket connector. The cable connector module includes a housing coupled to the cage, a circuit card received in the cavity of the housing, and cable assemblies coupled to the circuit card. The circuit card is coupled to the socket connector.
CABLE ASSEMBLY FOR A CABLE CONNECTOR MODULE
A cable assembly includes a cable having an insulator holding a first signal conductor and a second signal conductor and a cable shield surrounding the insulator. Exposed portions of the signal conductors extend forward of an end of the insulator for termination to a circuit card. The cable assembly includes a ground clip coupled to the end of the cable. The ground clip includes a bottom ground rake below the cable and a top ground hood above the cable. The bottom ground rake includes a window that receives the exposed portions of the first and second signal conductors therethrough. The bottom ground rake includes a lower grounding tab electrically connected to a lower portion of the cable shield and the top ground hood includes an upper grounding tab electrically connected to an upper portion of the cable shield. The bottom ground rake is coupled to the circuit card to support the cable relative to the circuit card.
High Density Orthogonal Card Edge Connector
A connector system having a first connector and a second connector. The first connector is mounted to a substrate and includes a housing and a first shell. The first shell has solder hold down posts which extend from a circuit board mounting surface of the first connector. Securing openings are provided in side walls of the first shell. The second connector includes a daughterboard and a second shell. The second shell has side plates, resilient latching projections are formed from mating connector alignment portions positioned on the side plates proximate a connector receiving surface of the second connector. The resilient latching projections of the second connector cooperate with the securing openings of the first connector to secure the second connector to the first connector. The first connector is secured to the substrate by soldering the solder hold down posts to the substrate.
Pogo pin connector
Various connector and sensor assemblies are described. In some embodiments, the connector and sensor assembly comprises a connector and a sensor assembly. The connector can have an opening that has a first surface and second surface that are opposite each other. The connector can have a plurality of retractable electrical connectors that extend from the first surface and a lock structure that is located on the second surface. The sensor assembly is comprised of a body portion and a proximal end. The proximal end has a top side and a bottom side. The top side includes a plurality of electrical contacts that is configured to interact with the plurality of retractable electrical connectors. The bottom side includes a key structure that is configured to interact with the lock structure in the connector.
CONNECTOR WITH LATCHING MECHANISM
A connector includes a latching mechanism configured to mechanically unlatch the connector and a mating connector. The latching mechanism of the connector, when actuated to unlatch the connector and the mating connector, disengages both a retention feature of the connector and a retention feature of the mating connector.
CHARGING ASSEMBLY WITH OVERRIDE MEMBER ON LOCKING DEVICE
A charging assembly includes a charging inlet and a locking device mounted to the charging inlet. The locking device includes a housing, a release member, and an override member. The release member is connected to a movable locking pin via a mechanical linkage. The locking pin in an extended position is configured to secure a mating connector of an external power source to the charging inlet. The override member is slidably mounted to the housing, and includes a tail that is coupled to the release member. The override member has a contact surface configured to be engaged by an external instrument to translate the override member relative to the housing such that the tail actuates the release member causing the locking pin to transition from the extended position towards a retracted position to enable the mating connector to be disconnected from the charging inlet.
DRIVE LOADING JIG FOR MEMORY DRIVES
A drive loading jig, drive carrier assembly and method of using the same to insert and remove a drive from a host reduce the likelihood of a drive being damaged during insertion or removal. Such a drive loading jig has side walls with respective slots and a rear wall joining the side walls. Each of the slots includes multiple restraining walls to restrain a drive, when positioned in the jig, from bending with respect to a plane parallel to a major surface of the drive and from moving in a direction substantially perpendicular to the major surface. Stoppers formed in the side walls or rear wall define a maximum insertion depth of the drive. An alignment key-way on the loading jig is used to align the drive in the proper orientation prior to inserting the drive into the loading jig.
Power connector and power connector device
Provided is a power connector comprising: a housing; a power supply terminal; a regulatory protruding portion; and a locking portion, wherein the housing includes, therein, an insertion space configured in such a manner that at least part of a counterpart housing of a counterpart connector is inserted thereinto, the insertion space communicates with an insertion port, the power supply terminal includes an exposed portion provided in a state of being exposed from the housing toward the insertion space, and a contact portion being at least part of the power supply terminal, the contact portion being configured to come into contact with a counterpart-side power supply terminal provided to the counterpart housing upon at least part of the counterpart housing being inserted through the insertion port, the regulatory protruding portion is placed on a side closer to the insertion port than to the exposed portion in a direction of the insertion of at least part of the counterpart housing, in the insertion space, the regulatory protruding portion protruding from the housing toward the insertion space, and the locking portion is provided in the insertion space, and is configured to lock a locking portion provided to the counterpart housing upon at least part of the counterpart housing being inserted. The contact portion may have a flat plate shape.
