Plug retention system
Retention assemblies for retaining a first end of an electrical cord in engagement with an electrical outlet are described that include an adapter with a housing having a cylindrical plug portion and retention members that extend radially outwardly from the cylindrical plug portion of the housing to engage a sidewall of the electrical outlet and cause the adapter to resist removal from the electrical outlet. The retention assemblies further include a retention housing that is configured to couple to the adapter, where the retention housing includes one or more walls that define a back opening, a front opening, and an interior sized to receive the first end of the electrical cord. The front opening includes a portion having a dimension smaller than a dimension of the first end to thereby retain the first end within the retention housing.
CONNECTOR EQUIPPED WITH A LOCKING PART AND METHOD OF IMPLEMENTING THE CONNECTOR
Connector (1) comprising at least one female part (2) and at least one male part (3) engaging in the female part, and locking means (4) preventing any extraction of the male part from the female part, characterized in that the locking means comprise at least one removable locking part (4) arranged as an interface between the male part (3) and the female part (2), and the male and female parts comprise means of retention (24, 35) by mutual cooperation, the mutual disengaging of the retention means being rendered possible only after the withdrawal of the locking part.

LOCKING FASTENING DEVICE FOR TWO-PART ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS WITH AXIAL COUPLING
The locking fastening device for two-part electrical connectors with axial coupling includes two male mistake-proofing mechanisms and two female mistake-proofing mechanisms included in the parts. The mistake-proofing mechanisms are positioned on both sides of the contacts of the two parts of the male and female electrical connector and respectively includes at least a protuberance and a bore axially cooperative to produce the fastening of the parts, during coupling.

Connector
In a connector, a contact includes: a first connection portion and a second connection portion that are retained between a first insulator and a second insulator and face each other; and a pressing force receiving portion that makes contact with the second insulator and receives a pressing force from the second insulator to thereby press the first connection portion against the second connection portion. A connection object is sandwiched between the first connection portion and the second connection portion, and at least one of the first connection portion and the second connection portion makes contact with a flexible conductor of the connection object, whereby the contact is electrically connected to the flexible conductor of the connection object.

Electrical connector with connector position assurance and mechanical assist
A connector pair includes a header with a protrusion and an electrical connector assembly movable relative to the header between a mated position and an unmated position. The electrical connector assembly includes a connector housing and a connector position assurance retained on the connector housing for relative linear movement between a lock position and an open position. The connector position assurance includes a first lock surface that engages a second lock surface on the protrusion to retain the electrical connector assembly in the mated position. The connector position assurance includes a first assist surface that engages a second assist surface on the protrusion to move the electrical connector assembly from the mated position toward the unmated position.
