Low profile and small form factor electrical connector system
An electrical connector system includes a connector and a header. The header includes a substantially T-shaped member having a proximal portion substantially rectangular in shape having a first width and a distal portion substantially rectangular in shape having a second width greater than the first width. A first and a second end portion of the distal portions are substantially T-shaped viewed end on. The first and the second end portions include a plurality of guides and shoulders. The connector includes a substantially rectangular member having a proximal portion having a first thickness and a distal portion having a second thickness less than the first thickness on a bottom side of the substantially rectangular member. The proximal portion includes first and second proximal feet and first and second distal feet. Each foot includes a foot retention shoulder and one or more guides.
Magnetic connector for a computing device
A magnetic connector for a computing device is disclosed. The magnetic connector can include a housing. The housing includes an asymmetric shape, a connector interface including at least one contact element to carry at least one of data or power, and a magnetic component provided on the connector interface. The housing and the magnetic component are oriented to key the connector interface into proper alignment when mated with an opposing connector that includes at least two magnetic components of opposite polarity.

Indexable terminal retainer and method of making plugs
An indexable terminal retainer for a modular wiring system includes a retainer body that retains a terminal, the retainer body being dimensioned to fit within a retainer-receiving holder of a plug or receptacle. The indexable terminal retainer further includes a locking member for locking the retainer body to the retainer-receiving holder to prevent rotation of the retainer body within the retainer-receiving holder.

CONNECTOR
It is aimed to provide a connector capable of reaching a properly connected state while responding to a rotational movement. A connector housing (10) is mounted into a mounting member (16) displaceably to a temporary holding position and a retracted position, has a rearward movement restricted at the temporary holding position and is released from a holding state at the temporary holding position and moved rearward together with a mating connector housing (11) after being properly connected to the mating connector housing (11). The connector housing (10) is not held by the mounting member (16) at the retracted position and is movable integrally with the mating connector housing (11) according to a movement of the side of the mating connector housing (11).

JUMPER CABLE
A jumper cable which includes a receptacle mounted on, near or within a battery casing. The receptacle may include a socket having a pair of circular contacts on the inner circumference thereof electrically connected to battery terminals. The device may also include a cable having a plug on each end configured to mate with the receptacle socket. Such a plug may include a larger-diameter ring for engaging the upper contact and a smaller-diameter ring for engaging the lower contact when the plug is inserted into the socket, Accordingly, if a battery needs recharging, a plug is inserted into the receptacle associated with the dead battery and the opposing plug is inserted into a receptacle associated with a charged battery to establish electrical interconnection there between. Alternatively, an adapter having a socket and electrical clamps for grasping battery terminals may be used when a receptacle is not connected to one of the batteries.
