SUPPORT LIGHTING FOR ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEMS
20230187883 · 2023-06-15 ·

A lighting system is incorporated into the ends of the electrical power cords to provide light when working in dark environments. The lighting source is preferably battery-operated, thus allowing the user to find power receptacles when in these dark environments. Additionally, a second power source is included in the plug receptacle end, which can be battery-powered or can be powered by electrical power carried within the power lines. The ends of the extension cord include supports.

ELECTRICAL PLUG CONNECTOR
20170310053 · 2017-10-26 ·

A plug connector suitable for use as an airbag squib connector is presented. The plug connector includes a connector housing, having a plug-in portion and at least one female contact terminal that is arranged at least partially in the plug-in portion. The plug connector further includes a grounding contact, having an intermediate section and a contact section formed from sheet metal. The sections have respective main surfaces and circumferential edges. The contact section is configured to electrically contact a corresponding grounding contact of a counter-connector. The intermediate section branches off from the contact section. The main surfaces of the intermediate section and the contact section are parallel to the mating direction.

Push wire connector having a rotatable release member

An electrical connector includes a housing and a conductive contact member disposed in the housing. A first contact portion of the conductive contact member receives a blade contact of an electrical device and a second contact portion electrically engages an inserted electrical wire. A spring member is disposed in the housing and is connected to the contact member. A rotatable member is movable between first and second positions. When the rotatable member is in the second position the spring member secures an inserted wire in electrical engagement with the conductive contact member and prevents removal of the inserted wire. When the rotatable member is in the first position the spring member allows for removal of an inserted wire and allows for insertion of a wire in the housing.

Shielded Connection Line for Magnetic Resonance Tomography System
20170338599 · 2017-11-23 ·

A shielded connection line for a magnetic resonance tomography system includes a signal conductor, a shield for the signal conductor, and a plug-in connector. The plug-in connector has a large number of connection contacts that are arranged in a two-dimensional matrix and are electrically insulated from each other in the plug-in connector. The signal conductor is in galvanic contact with a first connection contact, and three second connection contacts adjacent to the first connection contact and surrounding the first connection contact are galvanically connected to the shield.

Compensating connector system

A connector and assembly of a cabling category and comprising two mating zones connected by an intermediate zone. Each of the zones is manufactured such that Near End Cross Talk (NEXT) resulting from transmission of the high frequency signal across each zone is below a specified amount chosen such that NEXT introduced by a high frequency signal transmission between via all the zones is below a level as specified for the cabling category.

The present teachings provide for an electrical connector including a first housing, power terminals, and first and second shunts. The terminals and shunts are located within a cavity of defined by the first housing. The first housing is configured to mate with a second housing to transfer power between a power storage device and components of an electric or hybrid electric vehicle. The first shunt is configured to complete an interlock circuit. The second shunt is configured to complete a service disconnect circuit. The interlock circuit prevents the transfer of power between the first and second housings when the circuit is broken and allows it when complete. The service disconnect circuit causes the power storage device to be substantially electrically isolated from the rest of the vehicle when the circuit is broken.
