Electrical plug latching systems and related methods

Electrical plug latching systems and related methods are disclosed. According to an aspect, an electrical plug latching system includes a base having an interface for attachment to an electrical plug receptacle. The base defines an opening for receipt of an electrical plug for electrical connection to the electrical plug receptacle. The electrical plug defines a protrusion. Further, the system includes a latch that is attached to the base and that includes a gripper portion. The gripper portion is moveable between a first position and a second position with respect to the base. In the first position, the gripper portion is positioned to interface with the protrusion of the electrical plug to hold the electrical plug in place when electrically connected to the electrical plug receptacle. In the second position. the gripper portion is positioned apart from the protrusion of the electrical plug.

Cable bushing

A cable bushing is disclosed for placement into a control housing surrounding a printed circuit board. The cable bushing includes a bushing housing comprising a locating surface, fastening means for fastening the bushing housing to the control housing, and retainers for at least two cables which are to be electrically connected to the printed circuit board. To facilitate the assembly of the cable bushing, the cable bushing housing is provided with contact elements that protrude from its front face, that are embodied to be adapted for plug contacting the printed circuit board, and that are electrically connected to the associated cables within the bushing housing. Also disclosed is the combination of a control housing and cable bushing and a printed circuit board housed in the control housing.

A plug fixing structure is applied to fixing a power plug inserted into a power socket of an electronic device. The power plug has a plug portion and a main body portion. A first engaging structure is formed on an outer periphery of the power socket. The plug fixing structure includes a sleeve casing jacketing the main body portion to expose the plug portion and a first resilient arm having a first arm portion and a first front hook. The first arm portion protrudes from an outer surface of the sleeve casing. The first front hook extends from the first arm portion toward the first engaging structure. The first front hook is engaged with the first engaging structure when the plug portion is inserted into the power socket along a first axis, so as to constrain movement of the power plug along the first axis relative to the power socket.
