Modular barrel contact system for electrical connectors

The disclosure relates to a modular barrel contact system suitable for use with a variety of electrical connectors. The contact system includes a barrel having an opening extending therethrough and designed to receive an electrical contact and a wire. When the barrel is crimped, the contact and wire are brought together with improved mechanical strength and electrical performance. The barrel includes features for securely inserting and retaining the contact system within a housing of the electrical connector.

Rotatable Electric Plug

A rotatable electric plug includes a plug housing including a sleeve body, a plug module including a mounting body and at least a protruding pin, and a limiting assembly coupled to the sleeve body and the mounting body. The mounting body is rotatably coupled in the sleeve body that a rotational movement of the mounting body is reversible. The mounting body has a first side and an opposed second side that a portion of the protruding pin is extended from the first side of the mounting body. The limiting assembly is arranged to block the plug module from rotating infinitely at the plug housing in one direction. The rotatable electric plug has the advantages of enabling the reversibly rotational movement of the plug module, enhancing the rotational movement of the plug module, retaining the plug module at an angular angle, and preventing the plug module from being infinitely rotated.

Connector

A connector to be connected to another connector includes a fixed contact, a movable contact, a housing having an opening into which the other connector is insertable, a switch that is movable in a direction in which the other connector is inserted, a cam that is rotatably supported and includes a first cam and a second cam, and a card that moves the movable contact. The connector is configured such that when the other connector is inserted into the connector, the switch is pushed and moved by the other connector, the first cam is pushed by the switch and the cam rotates, the second cam pushes the card when the cam rotates, and the card moves the movable contact to contact the fixed contact.

Waterproof connector

The invention discloses a waterproof connector. The waterproof connector includes a shell assembly, the shell assembly includes a metallic shell and a first sealing member, the metallic shell includes a top surface, a bottom surface and two lateral surfaces, a cavity is defined by the top surface, the bottom surface and the lateral surfaces, the first sealing member is sleeved on the peripheral of the metallic shell; a conductive assembly, the conductive assembly is received in the cavity, the conductive assembly includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contact terminals and a second sealing member, the insulative housing includes a base portion and a tongue extending forwardly from the base portion, the contact terminals are insert molded with the insulative housing, the second sealing member is assembled onto the insulative housing.

Extending Outlet Access Device

An electrical extending outlet having a rigid body slidably extendable such that, in use, extends the outlet of a wall above a restrictive surface. The rigid body has a male connector on its lower end that is rotatable to allow the rigid body to be positioned in a number of positions relative to the wall outlet. On the upper end of the rigid body is at least one female outlet which a user can insert a male plug of an electrical device. The rigid body has a fastener to attach the rigid body to the wall.

Non-conductive member between incompatible power terminals

Examples disclosed herein relate to a non-conductive member including a surface defining a first hole to mate to a first pin of a terminal and a second hole to mate to a second pin of the terminal and a third pin of the terminal; and a protrusion extending from the surface.

The present disclosure is directed to tamper resistant outlets (TRO) and adapters that adapt non-TRO compliant electrical sockets to become TRO compliant sockets. Adapters consistent with the present disclosure may include one or more sets of prongs or plug bars that mate with electrical wall outlets or sockets, such that an adapter can be plugged into a wall socket directly. These adapters may cover a non-compliant socket with a structure that provides TRO compliant receptacles. Other surfaces on the TRO adapter may include one or more sets of covers that cover receptacles included in the TRO adapter when a plug is not installed into a respective set of receptacles. Adapters consistent with the present disclosure may adapt sockets that use either two or three prongs. Adapters consistent with the present disclosure may be attached and retained using screws or other protrusions.
