A tap-off box includes a latch that automatically secures the tap-off box to a busway upon insertion of a mast into the busway. The latch is in the form of a single spring-loaded member that latches onto a rail as the masthead is pushed into the busway. A push button actuated camming member pushes the latch away from the rail to enable the masthead to be withdrawn from the busway. The push button and camming member are independent of the mechanism that extends and retracts the contacts while the masthead is inserted and latched into the busway. The tap-off box may also include non-contact current monitoring sensors with voltage sensing inserts that an auxiliary breaker switch in applications other than a tap-off box, and an infrared emitting faceplate that can be adapted for monitoring a variety of breakers from outside the tap-off box.

The invention relates to an electric device, especially to an output of a transformer, said output comprises a connecting portion, said connecting portion comprises a connecting rod, which partly inserts into said connecting portion and has an interference fit with said connecting portion, said connecting rod comprises a conductive first column portion that has an interference fit with a busbar, said first column portion axially arranges a conductive second column portion which has an interference fit with said first column portion, said second column portion is located inside of said first column portion, a thermal expansion coefficient of said second column portion is greater than that of said first column portion. Said transformer has such advantageous effects, 1. the same overlapping length increases more conductive surface for reducing a current density to achieve low temperature rising of connecting part; 2. amount of material is reduced and save the social source; 3. the electric clearance or safety distance is increased, an electric safety of device is also increased; 4. a width of a connecting part is reduced, an occupation space of transformer is also reduced.

Support rail for holding and supplying power to a plurality of lighting modules, and light strip system with such a support rail
09829184 · 2017-11-28 · ·

A support rail for holding and supplying power to a plurality of lighting modules. The support rail has first conductors for forming a first power supply circuit and second conductors for forming a second power supply circuit. The support rail additionally has a converter unit for electrically coupling the second power supply circuit to the first power supply circuit. The second power supply circuit also has a first coupling element for electrically connecting a first lighting module and a second coupling element for electrically connecting a second lighting module. The result of this design of the second power supply circuit is that a single converter unit is sufficient for converting a voltage for supplying power to the two lighting modules. In this way a particularly cost-effective and compact construction of the support rail becomes possible.
