A plug and socket combination together with a light source for achieving the look and effect of a recessed lighting fixture with only a standard electrical junction box and without any type of recessed lighting housing. For renovations, a plug and socket combination can be used with an existing conventional recessed lighting housing.

The socket includes a socket body having at least one internal cavity therein with an electrically conductive contact terminal disposed within the cavity for establishing an electrical connection between the electrical power supply wiring and the socket. The plug is rigidly fixed to the fixture and insertable into the socket, with the plug having at least one male connector electrically connected to the fixture and engageable with the contact terminal within the socket to establish a circuit between the electrical fixture and the electrical power wiring. A releasable latch is carried on the combination of the plug and the socket for releasably mounting the fixture on the support.

A socket and plug are used to connect an electrical fixture with electrical power supply wiring, and for mounting the fixture on a support. The socket has internal cavities with electrically conductive contact terminals which establish an electrical connection between the electrical power supply wiring and the socket. A plug is rigidly fixed to a fixture, and is inserted into the socket. The plug has male connectors electrically connected to the fixture and engageable with the conductive terminals within the socket. A releasable latch is carried on the combination of the plug and the socket for releasably mounting the fixture on the support. A hub surrounds the plug and socket, and houses a plurality of sensor modules releasably connectable to a periphery of the hub. The sensor modules each include an electronic device operative to generate or transmit electronic data.

An adapter for connecting an LED light fixture to the threaded, screw-in socket of an Edison lamp holder. The adapter includes lever arms that toggle between a horizontal position and an inclined position. The inclined position of the lever arms poses a small outside diameter so the adapter can be inserted into the Edison socket without catching any of the socket threads. When fully seated inside the Edison socket, the lever arms are pushed into the horizontal position. A central core translating within the shell when pushed to the top position inside the shell locks the lever arms in the horizontal position. The lever arms when locked in the horizontal position define an outsider diameter larger than the internal diameter of the Edison socket to wedge the adapter therein.

An illuminable decoration comprises at least two trunk sections, each trunk section includes a hollow tube and a cable assembly coupled to each trunk section. Each cable assembly comprises a first modular electrical connector end that has an inner socket and an outer plug that circumscribes the inner socket. Further, each cable assembly comprises a second modular electrical connector end that has an inner plug and an outer socket that circumscribes the inner plug. A first electrical wire electrically couples between the inner socket of the first modular electrical connector and the inner plug of the second modular electrical connector. Also, a second electrical wire electrically couples between the outer plug of the first modular electrical connector and the outer socket of the second modular electrical connector. When two trunk sections are assembled together end-to-end, the trunk sections are mechanically and electrically coupled to form a modular electrical distribution system.

An energy dispenser comprising a base plate, a casing having a funnel inlet and a funnel outlet, a neck having a tube inlet and a tube outlet, a head, a charging socket outlet, a cable assembly and an energy storage device for electrical energy. The funnel inlet is connected to the base plate, the funnel outlet transitions into the inlet of the neck, and the outlet of the neck transitions into the head. The charging socket outlet is arranged in the head and is connected to a first end of the cable assembly. The cable assembly is routed out of the head, through an interior of the neck, into a cavity of the casing. The energy storage device is in the cavity of the casing, and a second end of the cable assembly is connected to the energy storage device.

The cable assembly is routed out of the head, through an interior of the neck, into a cavity of the casing. The energy storage device is in the cavity of the casing, and a second end of the cable assembly is connected to the energy storage device.
