The adapter includes lever arms that toggle between a horizontal position and an inclined position. The inclined position of the lever arms poses a small outside diameter so the adapter can be inserted into the Edison socket without catching any of the socket threads. When fully seated inside the Edison socket, the lever arms are pushed into the horizontal position. A central core translating within the shell when pushed to the top position inside the shell locks the lever arms in the horizontal position. The lever arms when locked in the horizontal position define an outsider diameter larger than the internal diameter of the Edison socket to wedge the adapter therein.

A light bulb apparatus has a plurality of LED modules, a substrate, a driver circuit board, a plastic piece, a radiator and a lamp cap. The substrate has aluminum material for mounting the plurality of LED modules, a first connection end and a second connection end. The first connection end and the second connection end are electrically connected to the plurality of LED modules. The plastic piece with a guiding groove is used for inserting the driver circuit board. The radiator has a top plate and a side wall. The substrate is fixed on the top plate, and the side wall are connected to the plastic piece.

A lamp cap can include: a metal shell; an insulating base disposed on the metal shell; an elastic connecting mechanism disposed on the insulating base, wherein the elastic connecting mechanism can include a first metal element connected to the insulating base, a second metal element disposed opposite to the first metal element, and a spring disposed between the first metal element and the second metal element and configured for supporting the second metal element and electrically communicating the first metal element and the second metal element, a main part of the second metal element can extend into the metal shell, when the main part of the second metal element is pressed by a threaded portion of a bulb, the spring can be compressed and the second metal element is movable relative to the insulating base.

A lamp cap can include: a metal shell; an insulating base disposed on the metal shell; an elastic connecting mechanism disposed on the insulating base, wherein the elastic connecting mechanism can include a first metal element connected to the insulating base, a second metal element disposed opposite to the first metal element, and a spring disposed between the first metal element and the second metal element and configured for supporting the second metal element and electrically communicating the first metal element and the second metal element, a main part of the second metal element can extend into the metal shell, when the main part of the second metal element is pressed by a threaded portion of a bulb, the spring can be compressed and the second metal element is movable relative to the insulating base.

A home security light bulb adapter includes a bulb connector having male threads, a bulb socket having female threads, a camera, sensors, a wireless communications interface, and a processor. When the bulb connector is connected to a bulb fixture, the camera and the bulb socket are switched on when the sensors sense a motion. The processor then sends data to a remote device over a network via the wireless communications interface.
