Reconfigurable plug strip
A power strip for conducting electrical power between an electrical power outlet having at least a live receptacle and a neutral receptacle, and at least two electrical device power plugs, each plug having at least a live prong and a neutral prong. The power strip includes a first housing segment having a first receptacle configured to receive at least an electrically conductive portion of a first device plug and a second housing segment having a second receptacle configured to receive at least an electrically conductive portion of a second device plug. The second housing is coupled to the first housing for pivotal movement relative to said first housing.
Swivel-Type Night Light
A swivel-type night light includes a housing, a socket mechanism, a bulb mechanism, a switch, a fixed seat, an intermediate seat, a connecting seat, a bottom ring, a positive blade, a negative blade, a positive conducting plate, a negative conducting plate, and a conducting member. The positive blade has a first tongue contacting with the positive conducting plate. The negative blade has a second tongue contacting with the negative conducting plate. A bulb is mounted on the bulb mechanism and is electrically connected with the conducting member by an internal thread. The fixed seat is rotatable relative to the connecting seat through 360 degrees. A plastic ring is arranged between the positive conducting plate and the negative conducting plate to prevent the positive conducting plate and the negative conducting plate from contacting with each other.
VERTICAL POWER SUPPLY FOR LAMP
The invention discloses a vertical power supply for a lamp. The vertical power supply for the lamp comprises a shell formed in an integrated mode and a tail cover, wherein one end of the shell is closed and the other end is provided with an opening; the tail cover is fixedly connected with the opening end of the shell; and a hole is formed in the tail cover. The vertical power supply for the lamp further comprises a circuit board with a control circuit, a switch for generating a pulse signal and a sealing piece, wherein at least one part of the circuit board is mounted in a cavity of the shell; one end of the switch is welded and fixed on the circuit board, and the other end of the switch is a free end; the sealing piece is mounted in the hole of the tail cover to seal the hole; and after the tail cover and the shell are fixed, the sealing piece abuts against the free end of the switch and one end of the sealing piece is exposed in the air. The vertical power supply for the lamp has the advantages of simple structure and good waterproof performance.
LENS, LENS BLANK, AND EYEWEAR
A lens includes a lens body, and an electro-active section (liquid crystals and a diffraction section) that is provided to a region of part of the lens body. The lens includes a pair of electrodes that are embedded in the lens body, that are electrically connected to a focal length modification section, that extend downward from an upper side end of the lens body, and that are disposed substantially parallel to each other spaced apart in a width direction orthogonal to an up-down direction of the lens body. Lower ends of the pair of electrodes are disposed spaced apart from the electro-active section in the up-down direction of the lens body.
Weather Resistant Power Outlets
There is provided a weather resistant power outlet (GPO) of the type including a double socket assembly (12) having rocker switches (16) and female prong contacts (17) and supported on the back of a mounting plate (13) having respective insulative prong apertures (31, 32). A space exists between the mounting plate (13) at the prong apertures (31, 32) and the female prong contacts (17), providing a safety gap between the apertures and the contacts. An elastomeric body (42) is located in the space and compressed against the mounting plate (13) by the socket assembly (12). The elastomeric body (42) has prong-passing slits (44) allowing passage of prongs of an electrical male plug passing through the prong apertures (31, 32) to electrically engage the female prong contacts (17), the openings being self-sealing on withdrawal of the prongs under the resilient bias of the elastomeric body (42). The GPO is rendered weatherproof without increasing the mounting plate to female contacts distance.
ELECTRONIC EYEGLASSES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
Disclosed herein are devices and methods for the design and manufacturing of electronic eyeglasses and associated components thereof. Electronic eyeglasses consist of electro-active lenses, receiving electrical signals that turn them on and off from an electronic control module. The electronic control module is embedded within a temple of the eyeglass frame, and is powered by a removable power source pack residing at a temple tip through a flexible cable. Various methods describe the interconnection schemes between the components of the electronic eyeglasses.
