Terminal locator for a hand tool
A terminal locator for a hand tool includes a base, a magnet, and a holder attached to the base and rotatable with respect to the base between an open position and a closed position. The holder has a magnet passageway and a resilient latch retaining the magnet in the magnet passageway.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING CRIMP APPLICATIONS AND REPORTING POWER TOOL USAGE
Systems and methods for reporting usage of a power tool. The power tool comprises a pair of jaws configured to crimp a workpiece, a piston cylinder configured to actuate at least one of the pair of jaws, and a sensor configured to sense operating characteristics associated with a crimping application. An electronic processor connected to the sensor. The electronic processor is configured to receive, from the sensor, one or more characteristic signals, determine, based on the one or more characteristic signals, a first operating characteristic of the power tool, and determine, based on the one or more characteristic signals, a second operating characteristic of the power tool. The electronic processor is configured to determine the crimping application of the power tool based on the first operating characteristic and the second operating characteristic and generate a report indicating the crimping application performed by the power tool.
Crimping pliers die and crimping pliers
The invention relates to a crimping pliers die (1) comprising two die half units (2, 3). The die half units (2, 3) are guided by a guide (51) relatively to each other over the crimping stroke. Crimping surfaces (40, 41) of the die halves (5) are formed by front surfaces of engaging ribs (37). The guide (51) comprises a guiding rod (43) formed by an end-sided thickening (42) of a rib (37) and/or the guide (51) comprises a guiding recess (50) formed by a guiding recess section (45) which connects two ribs (37) to each other. The crimping pliers die (1) can be used for crimping pliers which can e. g. be used for crimping wire end sleeves.

CONNECTOR
Technology of the present invention improves the shielding performance of an outer conductor. A connector 10 includes an inner conductor 20 and an outer conductor 40 that surrounds the inner conductor 20. The outer conductor 40 includes a first outer conductor 41 that can be electrically connected to a shield layer 83 of an electric wire 80, and a second outer conductor 42 that can be electrically connected to the first outer conductor 41 and can be electrically connected to a partner outer conductor 93 of a partner connector 90. The first outer conductor 41 is a member formed with a tubular shape by casting or cutting, and includes a first lock portion 47. The second outer conductor 42 is a plate-shaped member and includes a second lock portion 51 that can be locked to the first lock portion 41.
CONNECTOR
A connector includes a housing and an outer conductor. The outer conductor includes a first outer conductor and a second outer conductor. The housing includes a fitting hole into which the second outer conductor is fitted. The first outer conductor includes a first lock portion. In the state where the first outer conductor is located at a normal insertion position, the first lock portion is arranged so as to face the back side in the fitting direction of the second outer conductor in the fitting hole. The second outer conductor includes a second lock portion that is locked to the first lock portion in the state where the first outer conductor is located at the normal insertion position. In the state where the second lock portion is locked to the first lock portion, the second outer conductor is retained in the fitting hole.
Hand tool with self-resilient handle
A hand tool (1) comprising a first handle (2) and a second handle (3), which are pivotally arranged with respect to each other, a first jaw (4) that is fixed to said first handle (2), the first jaw (4) comprising a first crimp portion (6), and a second jaw (5) comprising a second crimp portion (7), wherein the first and second crimp portions (6,7) are arranged to be moved towards each other by actuation of the first and a second handle (2,3), so as to close a crimp opening (8) formed between said first and second crimp portions (6,7). The second jaw (5) is pivotally arranged with respect to the first handle (2) around a first pivot point (10), and with respect to the second handle (3) around a second pivot point (11) arranged at an upper end of said second handle (3), wherein the first handle (2) comprises a first resilient portion (12) between the first crimp portion (6) and the first pivot point (10), allowing the first crimp portion (6) to flex with respect to the first pivot point (10).
Power tool with crimp localization
Portable, hand-held, battery operated, hydraulic tools are provided with a tool frame, a force sensor, and a location detector. A piston actuated by a hydraulic system within the tool frame applies force to the working head to perform a task, such as to apply a crimp to an electrical connector. The tool determines the maximum force applied to the crimp and records that maximum force along with the geographic location of the tool when the crimp was formed. The maximum force provides an indication of the quality of the crimp and the recorded location allows a potentially defective crimp to be located.
Pliers with angled crimping opening
A crimping tool with a crimping opening extending at an angle to the axial direction of the tool. The tool can include jaws with multiple crimping openings cooperatively defined thereby at different angles relative to the longitudinal axial direction of the tool. For example, the crimping openings can begin at a respective faces of the jaw and such faces can extend at different angles relative to the longitudinal axial direction of the tool. In this manner, the tool can allow crimping of connectors at a variety of different angles, reduce jaw length and width, and improve the leverage of the crimpers.
Crimping Tool
A crimping tool used for crimping terminals and wires includes a driving mechanism, a crimping mechanism and a plurality of adjustable elements. The crimping mechanism includes a compensation element and a crimping block, wherein the compensation element includes an accommodating space, an accommodating groove and a plurality of through holes. The accommodating groove and the through holes communicate with the accommodating space. The accommodating groove is used for accommodating the terminal. The crimping block is connected to the driving mechanism and movably disposed in the accommodating space. Each of the adjustable elements is movably disposed in each of the through holes such that it can be moved into the accommodating space to be against the crimping block such that the convex teeth of the crimping block are aligned with a plurality of pins on the terminal.
