A pin extractor is disclosed. The pin extractor can comprise a press to act against a clip securing a pin to be extracted. The press can have a clip interface feature at an end of the press configured to compress the clip radially inward upon application of a force against the clip. The pin extractor can also comprise a puller having a claw to engage the pin. The puller can be movable relative to the press to extract the pin as the press compresses the clip radially inward.

Pin reforming tool

A tool for reforming printed circuit board backplane connector pins on a rod control system. The pin reforming tool of this invention is aligned into a card cage using existing card guides and locates itself around the backplane connector. The tool uses a uniquely designed die (that can be set up for one or multiple pin applications) that precisely engages into the connector and around the pin or pins to be reformed, with the assistance of a zig zag alignment guide matched specifically for the pin spacing. A consistent reforming force is applied via a force applicator structured to provide a force of a preselected magnitude.

Terminal extraction tool

A terminal extraction tool includes a handle and an extraction arm extending from the handle. The handle has a bottom extending between a handle front and a handle rear having a handle axis centered between the handle front and the handle rear. The extraction arm has a base at the bottom of the handle and a finger extending from the base. The finger has an elbow between an upper finger member and a lower finger member. The lower finger member is angled non-parallel to the upper finger member. The lower finger member extends from the elbow to a tip configured to engage a latching beam to release the latching beam and allow removal of the terminal from a housing. The handle and the extraction arm are rotated about the elbow to rotate the lower finger member and the tip to engage the latching beam.

Terminal extraction tool

A terminal extraction tool includes a handle and an extraction arm extending from the handle. The handle has a bottom extending between a handle front and a handle rear having a handle axis centered between the handle front and the handle rear. The extraction arm has a base at the bottom of the handle and a finger extending from the base. The finger has an elbow between an upper finger member and a lower finger member. A demating device configured to demate an electrical connector assembly having a first connector and a second connector is provided. The demating device may include a first separating member, a second separating member, and a gripping assembly. Actuation of the first separating member and the second separating member towards one another drives the jaws of the gripping assembly together, therein allowing secure gripping of the electrical connector assembly via the demating device for separation of the first and second connectors.

A connector apparatus including a housing, and a primary lock reinforcement. The housing includes at least one substantially cylindrical coaxial cavity therein. The coaxial cavity has a first end, a second end, and a locking finger. At least one stop is located proximate the second end. A locking finger is positioned intermediate the first end and the second end. The locking finger includes a locking tab, and an unlocking surface. The locking finger is formed to be flexible and capable of flexing between a lock position and an unlock position. The locking finger is biased toward the lock position. The primary lock reinforcement is placed in the housing and has an opening therein corresponding to the second end of the cylindrical coaxial cavity.
