11191895 · 2021-12-07 · ·

A device (1) for dispensing a fluid, in particular under aseptic conditions, preferably to a patient. The device comprises a conveying device (2) for conveying the fluid to a dispensing opening (3). The device (1) also comprises a coupling element (4) for coupling a syringe (5). The fluid can be conveyed from the syringe (5) to the dispensing opening (3) via the coupling element (4) and the conveying device (2) exclusively by the effect of the conveying device (2). The invention further relates to a system for dispensing a fluid under aseptic conditions, comprising such a device (1) and to a syringe (5) that can be coupled to the coupling element (4).

TUBING SYSTEM WITH REASSEMBLY PREVENTION MECHANISM

A tubing connector system is configured to connect first and second pieces of medical tubing. The tubing connector system includes a male module and a female module. The female module is retained in connection to the male module by a plurality of locking mechanisms. The plurality of locking mechanisms are configured to prevent the male module and female module from being reconnected after the male module has been separated from the female module. The tubing connector system also includes a valve assembly that includes a first valve member contained within the male module and a second valve member contained within the female module. The first and second valve members are interconnected in a gimbaled relationship.

Aseptic coupling devices

An aseptic coupling arrangement can include a first coupling device and a second aseptic coupling device. In one embodiment, the first and second coupling devices are substantially similar, each having a main body defining a front face and a fluid passageway therethrough. A first connecting feature disposed on the main body of each coupling device may be provided for aligning and coupling the aseptic devices together. Each coupling device may also include a sealing member received in the main body and a membrane removably coupled to the main body front face to cover the sealing member. The first aseptic coupling device may also include a rotatable protective cover that is removably attached to the main body and connected to the membrane. In one embodiment, the removal of the protective covers away from two coupled main bodies, in a direction parallel to the front faces, causes removal of the membranes.

Antimicrobial caps for medical connectors

The present invention relates to a cap for a medical connector. More specifically, the present invention related to an antimicrobial cap for placement over a connector, wherein various features of the antimicrobial cap maintain the connector in an antiseptic state.

Packaging container for antimicrobial caps

Systems, methods, and articles for providing an antimicrobial composition to the proximal elements of a trans-dermal catheter and into the lumen of the transdermal catheter are disclosed. In an embodiment, an antimicrobial composition on surface a cap element transfers antimicrobial to the proximal end of the transdermal catheter. The system comprises an elongate member configured for insertion into a lumen of a catheter, the elongate member containing an antimicrobial.

Apparatus for connecting a tube connector to a fitting and to fasten or unfasten closure caps

An apparatus is provided for connecting and disconnecting a tubular fitting connector to a fluid conduit. A cradle assembly accommodates the fluid conduit, and includes a body having a first port and a second port. The first and second ports are disposed at opposite ends of the body, and each port is configured for receiving an end cap of the tubular fitting to fasten or unfasten the end cap for replacement. A connector holder is disposed between the first and second ports, and is configured for accommodating insertion of the connector. A holder assembly is provided for accommodating insertion of the tubular fitting. The cradle assembly is reciprocable relative to the holder assembly for transitioning the cradle assembly between a first position, a second position, and a third position.

Universal connector or cap for male and female threaded fittings

A cap is described for connection to a medical connector, the cap includes a housing having a top wall and sidewall forming a first cavity, and a removable or integrally formed protrusion. The protrusion includes an inner thread on an inner surface, the inner thread being sufficient to interlock with a mating feature of a female needleless connector. The inner surface of the protrusion defines a second cavity. The protrusion includes an outer thread on an outer surface, the outer thread being sufficient to interlock with a mating feature of a male needleless connector. The second cavity configured to define a chamber to contain an absorbent material and disinfectant or antimicrobial agent. The cap may also include a peel seal and/or septum to prevent the disinfectant or the antimicrobial agent from exiting the second cavity. An exterior sidewall surface of the housing may include a plurality of grip members.

Variable rate dispenser with aseptic spike connector assembly

A dispenser includes a container with an endwall and a cap covering the endwall. The cap has an aperture and a first film covering the aperture. A hood over the cap has a barrel defining a bore which is coaxially aligned with the aperture, a second film sealing the bore, and a gasket compressed behind the second film. A spike is carried for movement in the barrel between retracted and advanced positions. The dispenser has first and second conditions. In the first condition, the first and second films are against each other and seal the aperture and barrel, and in the second condition, the first and second films are away, unsealing the aperture and the barrel. When the dispenser is in the second condition and the spike moves from the retracted position to the advanced position, the spike pierces the endwall.

Universal Single-Use Cap For Male And Female Connectors

A device for connection to a medical connector, the device includes an outer cap, an inner cap and a peelable seal. The outer cap configured to define a chamber to contain an absorbent material and disinfectant or antimicrobial agent. The outer cap including one or more threads adapted to engage with a female luer connector. The inner cap including one or more thread-tabs adapted to engage a male luer connector. The peelable seal prevents the disinfectant or the antimicrobial agent from exiting the chamber.
