Spark plug
In the spark plug, an insulator is held by a metal shell via a packing. The packing includes a base material and a metal layer formed on a surface of the base material. In a cross section including the axial line, of distances between end points of the metal layer on a first contact surface of the insulator that contacts with the metal layer and first points which are intersections of the first contact surface and first perpendiculars extending to the first contact surface from first corners at which a first surface and third surfaces of the base material intersect each other is longer than a thickness of the metal layer at a middle position on the third surface that corresponds to half a length measured along the third surface.

Prechamber sparkplug having electrodes located for inhibiting flame kernel quenching
A prechamber sparkplug includes a housing having a nozzle with a prechamber formed therein, and each of a first set and a second set of electrode prongs within the prechamber. The second set of electrode prongs downwardly depend from attachment points to the housing, and form, together with the first set of electrode prongs, spark gaps within the prechamber. Each of the anode-cathode pairs formed by the sets of electrode prongs is spaced radially inward a clearance distance from the prechamber wall to position the spark gaps in a flow of swirled gases. The flow of swirled gases displaces a flame kernel formed at the spark gaps to inhibit quenching.

Spark plug and method for producing a spark plug
Spark plug for igniting a combustible fuel in an internal combustion engine, wherein the spark plug has an igniter arranged at an end of the spark plug facing the combustion chamber, when the spark plug is mounted in the internal combustion engine. The spark plug includes a wall and a sealing area. The wall at least partially surrounds the igniter. The sealing area is used for sealing the combustion chamber against the environment. The wall has the sealing area located at an end of the wall, which end faces the combustion chamber when the spark plug is mounted in the internal combustion engine.

SPARK PLUG
A spark plug that allows a heat transfer member to be fixed to an insulator in a simple manner. The spark plug includes: a tubular insulator extending in an axial line direction from a front side to a rear side; and a tubular metal shell fixed to an outer circumference of the insulator and having an external thread formed on a part of an outer circumferential surface thereof, wherein the insulator has a groove formed on a portion, of an outer circumferential surface thereof, that overlaps the external thread of the metal shell in the axial line direction, a heat transfer member mounted in the groove is in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the metal shell, and a portion of the heat transfer member is disposed in the groove of the insulator.

IGNITION PLUG
A spark plug that improves the heat resistance performance of an ignition plug.
Spark plug having a center electrode with improved thermal properties
A spark plug is described as including an insulator which is situated in a spark plug housing and which has a longitudinal axis and an opening along the longitudinal axis. Furthermore, a center electrode is situated in the opening of the insulator. Furthermore, at least one ground electrode is provided at the spark plug housing. The insulator has a first insulator section and a second insulator section, the first insulator section extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis over a first insulator section length having a first inner diameter. The second insulator section extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis over a second insulator section length having a second inner diameter. Here, the first inner diameter is smaller than the second inner diameter, the first insulator section merging directly into the second insulator section. The center electrode has a center electrode section which extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis over a center electrode section length having a center electrode outer diameter at least over the entire insulator section length of the first insulator section and of the second insulator section.
