DEVICE AND METHOD FOR APPLYING A PHARMACEUTICAL FLUID
A device and method for applying a pharmaceutical fluid comprising a hollow cylindrical body, which surrounds a channel that extends through the body from a proximal body end to a distal body end of the body, wherein an outer surface of the body has at least partially an external thread, and has a connecting element arranged at the proximal body end, via which a proximal channel end of the channel can be reversibly connected in terms of fluid conduction to a reservoir for the pharmaceutical fluid.
Ambulatory device and components thereof
Certain embodiments provide multi-medicament or single medicament infusion systems for preventing the cross-channeling or improper delivery of medicaments. The system may include one or more of an infusion pump, medicament cartridges, cartridge connectors, a multi-channel fluid conduit, and an infusion set. The medicament cartridges may be sized and shaped differently such that the medicament reservoirs can only be inserted into the pump under selected configurations.
CHECK VALVE WITH FLASH SEAL
Check valve assemblies for fluid flow sets and devices are provided. The check valve assembly includes an inlet body including a fluid inlet, a first seal bead and a second seal bead, and an outlet body including a fluid outlet. A seal includes inner and outer rings, wherein, in a fully sealed position of the check valve assembly, the inner ring is configured to engage with the first seal bead and the outer ring is configured to engage with the second seal bead. Fluid flow sets and methods for manufacturing check valve assemblies are also provided.
ASPIRATION SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TREATING ISCHEMIC STROKE
The present invention relates to methods, devices and systems for performing the removal of thrombus from a vessel lumen. More particularly the present invention relates to a thrombectomy system that includes an elongate catheter and a disposable aspiration pump and methods of performing medical procedures to remove clots, thrombus and emboli to re-establish the normal intravascular flow of blood.
Check valve with flash seal
Check valve assemblies for fluid flow sets and devices are provided. The check valve assembly includes an inlet body including a fluid inlet, first and second seal beads, and a central channel. An outlet body includes a fluid outlet and a stem having a centering post, the centering post received by the central channel of the inlet body. A seal includes inner and outer rings, wherein the inner ring is configured to engage with the first seal bead and the outer ring is configured to engage with the second seal bead in a fully sealed position of the check valve assembly. Fluid flow sets and methods for manufacturing check valve assemblies are also provided.
MEDICAL DEVICES FOR BLOOD REFLUX PREVENTION AND METHODS OF USE
Described is a catheter patency maintenance device comprising of a flush syringe, an elongate plunger rod with a stopper slidably positioned within the barrel, a cap, disinfectant and a valve movable between an open position and a closed position. The valve may include a valve stem and/or openings in the valve to permit fluid flow. Methods of using the flush syringe assemblies are also described.
MODULAR INTRAVENOUS ASSEMBLY
Modular intravenous (IV) assemblies are provided. The modular IV assembly includes a drip chamber having a body and an inlet connector, a base housing coupled directly to a base portion of the drip chamber, the base housing having an inlet port in fluid connection with the drip chamber and a flow path cavity in fluid connection with the inlet port and a flow control assembly coupled directly to a first portion of the base housing. Any of a filter assembly, an anti-run dry member, a check valve and an air vent assembly may be included in the modular IV assembly. IV sets and methods of use are also provided.
Medical heating device having means for blocking flow of fluid
A heating device for blocking flow of air if the inside of a cartridge enters a negative-pressure state is provided. The device includes a cartridge upper plate having a fluid-guide member for guiding the flow of a fluid; a cartridge lower plate having an inlet, an outlet and another fluid-guide member positioned spaced apart from the fluid-guide member of the cartridge upper plate; a heater disposed between the cartridge upper plate and the lower plate and heating the fluid being guided by the fluid-guide members; air filters positioned outside the fluid-guide members and discharging air bubbles in the heated fluid into the atmosphere; and extension units which are provided on the cartridge upper and lower plates having film members and outflow and discharge passages and that keep the flow of fluid normal in the positive-pressure state and block the fluid movement pathway if a negative pressure occurs inside the cartridge.
Distal valve for a catheter
A bi-directional valve assembly, including valves for use in closed-ended catheters or other elongate tubular devices, is disclosed. In one embodiment, a catheter assembly for insertion into a body of a patient is disclosed and comprises an elongate catheter tube including an outer wall that at least partially defines at least one lumen that extends between a proximal end and a closed distal end thereof. The catheter tube includes a valve assembly that in turn includes a linear slit valve defined through the outer wall of a distal segment of the catheter tube, and a deformation region. The deformation region includes a compliant segment disposed in the outer wall of the catheter tube and a thinned portion of the outer wall. The compliant segment and thinned portion of the deformation region cooperate to preferentially deform the outer wall and open the slit valve during aspiration through the catheter tube.
