NEEDLELESS CONNECTOR WITH SUPPORT MEMBER
Needleless connectors are described herein. A needleless connector includes a body, a valve element at least partially disposed within the body, and a base. The valve element includes a cylindrical portion having an outwardly extending flange at a distal end. The flange has a bottom surface with an outer area and an inner area. The base includes a rim having a top surface that is in contact with an outer area of the flange of the valve element, the rim defining a recess with a bottom surface separated from the top surface of the rim, and at least one support member having a top surface spaced apart from the top surface of the rim and configured to resist deformation of the flange toward the recess.
Airway Assist Device
An airway assist device and methods of making and using an airway assist device to assist in opening an airway or removing fluid or material obstructing an airway of a subject.
Castellated check valves
A check valve includes an upper housing defining an inlet of the check valve, a lower housing defining an outlet of the check valve, and a cavity interposed between and defined by the upper and lower housings for fluidly connecting the inlet and the outlet. The check valve further includes a valve member mounted in the cavity to selectively permit fluid flow in a first direction, and prevent fluid backflow in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The valve member includes a valve body and a valve stem portion extending axially through a central axis of the valve body. The valve member may further include a plurality of feet disposed about and extending longitudinally from an outer circumferential perimeter of the valve body.
Microjet drug injection device equipped with backflow prevention valve
The present invention provides a microjet drug injection device equipped with a backflow prevention valve, the microjet drug injection device comprising an upper housing, a lower housing, a partition, and the backflow prevention valve provided with a slit through which a drug passes at a lower end and allowing the drug to move only towards an injection nozzle.
INTRACRANIAL DELIVERY OF MEDICINAL SOLUTION
Embodiments provide for intracranial delivery of a medicinal solution to the brain. A system includes a bun hole stopple for insertion in a cranial bun hole, a catheter, a connecting member, a connector tube, and a pump. The catheter is advanced through an opening in the stopple to a tissue site in the brain. A proximal portion of the catheter is fixed to an outer groove in the stopple to minimize movement of the catheter in the brain. The catheter, connecting member, connector tube, and pump are fluidically coupled together to create a flow path between the pump and a distal end of the catheter for infusion of the medicinal solution to the tissue site in the brain.
Check valve with integrated filter
A method of manufacturing a check valve may include forming an upper housing as cylindrical body with (i) an internal surface including an upstream internal surface and a downstream internal surface having a projection and (ii) an external surface, forming a T-shaped filter member and mounting the T-shaped filter member in the internal surface of the upper housing. The method may further include forming a lower housing with a support portion at a central portion thereof, mounting a flexible valve member on the support portion, and coupling the upper housing with T-shaped filter member mounted therein onto the lower housing with flexible valve member mounted therein such that the T-shaped filter member is disposed upstream of the flexible valve member.
Medical connectors and methods of use
Some embodiments disclosed herein relate to a medical connector having a backflow resistance module configured to prevent fluid from being drawn into the connector when a backflow inducing event occurs. In some embodiments, the backflow resistance module can include a variable-volume chamber configured to change in volume in response to a backflow-inducing event and a check valve configured to resist backflow. In some embodiments, the medical connector can include a fluid diverter configured to direct fluid flowing through the medical connector into the variable volume chamber to prevent fluid stagnation therein. In some embodiments, the medical connector includes a body member, a base member, a seal member, a support member, and a valve member.
Reinfusion Tube System, Package and Methods
The present disclosure relates to a reinfusion tube system that includes a reinfusion fluid tubing with a pre-pump loop section, a post-pump loop section, and a pump loop section; and one of
a check valve positioned at an end or between the ends of the reinfusion fluid tubing such that it is provided to block fluid flow through the check valve in a direction from the post-pump loop section to the pre-pump loop section, and a check valve adapter including a check valve. The check valve adapter can be configured to be connected to an end or to be positioned between the ends of the reinfusion fluid tubing such that the check valve is provided to block fluid flow through the check valve in a direction from the post-pump loop section to the pre-pump loop section.
Cannula, ECMO assistance system
A cannula for the circulation of a fluid in an artery, includes a main lumen conveying a volume of fluid towards a first distal end; an accessory lumen including at least one inner portion arranged inside the main lumen, including: a proximal end situated downstream from the proximal end of the main lumen so as to capture a fraction of the flow of fluid entering the main lumen; a bent portion modifying the direction of flow of the fluid flow captured by the accessory lumen with respect to the direction of flow of the fluid emerging from the first end; a second distal end situated upstream from the first distal end of the main lumen, emerging on a side opening of the cannula so as to direct the captured fraction of liquid in the modified direction of flow.
HOLDING DEVICE AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED STOPCOCK ACTUATION
A holding device (1) for automated stopcock actuation, comprising a base body (2); and a driver (3) rotatably received at the base body (2). The holding device (1) has a receptacle (4) for removably receiving at least a part of a stopcock (A) and is configured such that the driver (3) can engage with and actuate a handle (B) of the stopcock (A) received in the receptacle (4) upon rotation of the driver (3), and a first fixation member (5) that is configured to allow selective fixation of the stopcock (A) in the receptacle (4).
