Pressure-regulating connector for infusion
A connector for connecting a container containing a medical fluid to a vascular access device may include an upper housing defining a first internal chamber, and a lower housing coupled to the upper housing and defining a second internal chamber for circulation of the medical fluid into the outlet. The connector may further include a slider disposed at least partially in the first and second internal chambers, and a plug coupled to a distal end of the slider. The slider may be reciprocally movable between (i) an open position, where the plug is spaced apart from a floor of the internal chamber to allow the medical fluid to flow through the outlet, and (ii) a closed position where the plug abuts the floor of the second internal chamber to block the medical fluid from flowing through the outlet.
Connector adapted to attach an irrigation catheter to tubing of an anal or stomal irrigation system
A connector is disclosed that attaches an irrigation catheter to tubing of an anal or stomal irrigation system. The connector has a housing, a pressure control device retained within the housing, and a restriction element. The pressure control device has an inlet channel on a distal side of the pressure control device communicating along an irrigation flow path with an outlet channel on a proximal side of the pressure control device, and a secondary outlet located between the inlet channel and the outlet channel and in communication with the irrigation flow path. The restriction element is inserted into the secondary outlet.
PRESSURE-REGULATING CONNECTOR FOR INFUSION

The connector may further include a slider disposed at least partially in the first and second internal chambers, and a plug coupled to a distal end of the slider. The slider may be reciprocally movable between (i) an open position, where the plug is spaced apart from a floor of the internal chamber to allow the medical fluid to flow through the outlet, and (ii) a closed position where the plug abuts the floor of the second internal chamber to block the medical fluid from flowing through the outlet.
Insufflation device and operating method that can be carried out therewith
The present invention relates to an insufflator with integrated flue gas extraction. Thanks to a novel valve regulation system, it is possible to direct the gas inflow through two tubes into the body cavity. The novel device also enables an improved pressure control of the body cavity, which leads to lower pressure variations in the body cavity and furthermore compensates higher leakage volume flows.
Adjustable pressure regulating and pressure indicating needle-free connectors
A needle-free connector assembly is provided that includes a main housing coupled to an indicator housing. A plunger is coupled to a bellows disposed in the main housing. An inlet port is disposed at an upstream end of the indicator housing and an outlet port is disposed at a downstream end of the main housing, with a valve disposed within the indicator housing and adjacent the inlet port. A switch member is slidingly disposed in the main housing, wherein the needle-free connector assembly provides both flow regulation and pressure indication when the switch member is in a downstream position and only pressure indication when the switch member is in an upstream position. Infusion sets and methods of operating a needle-free connector are also provided.
Flow regulating shunt valve
A valve assembly (10) configured to maintain fluid flow therethrough at a constant flow rate. The valve assembly (10) including a flexible flow control member (50) defining an inner fluid chamber (90) within the flexible flow control member (50) and an inlet opening (56) to the inner fluid chamber (90). An outer fluid chamber (92) is defined between the flexible flow control member (50) and an inner surface (74) of a valve housing (20). The flexible flow control member (50) is configured to flex inward and shrink the inner fluid chamber (90) in response to a pressure decrease in the inner fluid chamber (90) relative to the outer fluid chamber (92) resulting from an increase in an inlet flow rate to maintain an outlet flow rate from the valve assembly (10) at the constant flow rate.
Irrigation system with mechanical fluid pressure control
Apparatus for anal and/or stomal irrigation is provided, including an irrigation system, adapter and method. The irrigation system comprises a reservoir for an irrigation liquid; a tubing system with a first end connectable to the reservoir, and a second end connectable to a catheter or an adapter for provision of a first fluid path for the irrigation liquid between the reservoir and the catheter comprising a distal end for expelling irrigation liquid from the catheter; and a pump operable to pump the irrigation liquid from the reservoir to the second end of the tubing system, wherein the irrigation system comprises a mechanical pressure control device, the pressure control device having an inlet side and an outlet side, wherein the inlet side is connected to a reservoir side of the first fluid path and the outlet side is connected to a catheter side of the first fluid path, wherein the pressure control device is configured to keep liquid pressure on the outlet side less than a first pressure threshold.
LIQUID DELIVERY DEVICE WITH A ONE-WAY VALVE
A liquid delivery device has a lower housing containing a reservoir and an upper housing containing a nozzle assembly with an upper tube housing, a passage formed through the upper tube housing between the reservoir and the nozzle assembly, the passage within the upper tube housing forming a metering chamber; the nozzle assembly converting liquid from the metering chamber to a droplet spray; the liquid delivery device having a one-way valve that locates and seals within the passage; the valve configured so that in a first state fluid flow through the passage is substantially blocked, and in a second state fluid can flow through the passage; the valve deforming from the first state to the second state, the upper tube housing comprising a recess at the upper end, the recess configured to receive and confine the outer side of the one-way valve.
