There is generally provided a wall connection box (WCB), configured to be mounted over a suitable opening in the inner face of a wall of an insulated room, for conducting a utility (such as electric currents or fluids) between the space inside the room and any space outside it, the WCB including a base plate and one or more viaducts, embedded in, and across, the base plate in an airtight manner. Each viaduct is configured to conduct a particular type of utility—whether an electric current, electric or optical signal, a liquid or a gas. The base plate has a flange defined proximate its entire periphery and, attached or attachable to the flange, is a sealing gasket. The flange and the gasket are configured so that when the base plate is mounted on the wall, covering the opening and held pressed against it by suitable fasteners, there is an airtight joint between them.

An outlet enclosure for enclosing an electrical outlet to cover the electrical outlet and its electrical socket. The outlet enclosure includes a base plate and an outlet cover or holder which wraps partially around the electrical outlet to allow access to the electrical socket. The outlet cover or holder includes tracks extending in a vertical direction along its outer surface. An outer cylindrical cover wraps completely around the outlet cover or holder. The outer cylindrical cover slides vertically via the tracks over the outlet cover or holder from a lowered position fully enclosing the outlet cover or holder to a raised position exposing the electrical socket to allow access to the electrical outlet so that a plug can be inserted into the socket of the electrical outlet. When the outer cylindrical cover is lowered, it protects the electrical outlet from exposure to the elements.

The lid further comprises a housing contact surface that contacts or is in close proximity to a lid contact surface of the housing, a reference line through the point of the lid contact surface furthest away from the base plane, and wherein a part of the housing contact surface crosses a reference plane closer to the base plane than the reference line is, as the lid is moved from the closed to the open position.

An electrical connection assembly includes an electrical box including a housing having an internal surface defining an internal volume of the housing. An electrical connector is positioned outside the internal volume of the housing and fixed to the housing with a fastener. The housing includes an aperture having an opening defining an insertion path extending from a location external to the housing along a frame of the electrical connector to a location within the internal volume of the housing. The assembly includes a disc mechanically secured to the housing relative to the opening to obstruct the insertion path. A retainer and a bushing including a membrane for the electrical connector as well as methods of making an electrical connector are also provided.

A junction box assembly includes an upper housing, a lower housing, a connector assembly and a bolt. The upper housing includes a bolt support. The bolt support is a cylindrical member having a top surface and a through hole. The lower housing includes a bottom through hole. The connector assembly further including a threaded bore. A bolt having a threaded end is disposed in the through hole of the upper housing, the bottom through hole of the lower housing and threadedly engaged with the threaded bore of the connector assembly so as to secure the upper housing, lower housing and connector assembly together. The top surface of the cylindrical member includes a plurality of holes, each of the plurality of holes being closed at a bottom end.

OPENING AND CLOSING MECHANISM AND LEAKAGE PROTECTION DEVICE

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an opening and closing mechanism and a leakage protection device. The opening and closing mechanism comprises: a stationary contact and a movable contact, which contacts the stationary contact at ON-position and separates from the stationary contact at OFF-position; a first magnetic assembly; and a second magnetic assembly that is integrally rotatable about an axis, the second magnetic assembly comprising: an electric conductor onto which the movable contact is mounted; and a magnetic body comprising at least one magnetic portion configured to rotate about the axis under a magnetic force from the first magnetic assembly, to correspondingly drive the movable contact to rotate between the ON-position and the OFF-position, wherein a distance from each of the at least one magnetic portion to the axis is smaller than a distance from the movable contact to the axis. In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, the transmission efficiency within the opening and closing mechanism may be boosted, and the movable and stationary contacts are separated faster and by a longer distance, so as to improve the performance of the opening and closing mechanism.
