A catheter system may include a catheter assembly. The catheter assembly may include the catheter adapter, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, an inner surface forming a lumen, the lumen extending through the distal end and the proximal end, and a side port disposed between the distal end and the proximal end. The catheter assembly may include an annular valve, which may be disposed within the lumen and aligned with the side port. The annular valve may seal a fluid pathway from the side port to the lumen. The catheter assembly may include a retainer ring disposed proximal and/or proximate the annular valve within the lumen. The catheter assembly may include a catheter extending distally from the distal end of the catheter adapter.
PRESSURE-REGULATING AND ADJUSTING CONNECTOR FOR INFUSION
A connector for coupling a container carrying a medical fluid to a vascular access device may include a housing comprising and inner surface defining an internal chamber comprising a fluid channel disposed in the internal chamber. The fluid channel may include a pair of oppositely positioned cutouts. The connector may further include a slider disposed and supported in the internal chamber and having an internal compartment and an aperture through inner walls of the internal compartment. The slider may be reciprocally movable between (i) a first position, where the aperture of the slider is axially aligned with the pair of cutouts to allow the medical fluid to flow through the outlet, and (ii) a second position where the aperture of the slider is not aligned with the pair of cutouts and the inner walls of the slider blocks fluid connection between the slider and the fluid channel.
Syringe Adapter with Aspiration Assembly
A syringe adapter includes a housing having a first end and a second end positioned opposite the first end, with the housing including a connector body positioned at the first end of the housing and configured to be secured to a syringe barrel, a cannula positioned within the housing, with the cannula defining a transfer opening and a valve opening, a seal arrangement positioned within the housing and movable within the housing, and an aspiration assembly comprising an aspiration housing defining an aspiration opening, a filter received by the aspiration housing, and one-way valve received by the aspiration housing, where the valve opening of the cannula is positioned within the aspiration housing, and where air is configured to flow into the filter via the aspiration opening, into the one-way valve, and into the valve opening of the cannula.
ANUS CLEANER
The invention discloses an anus cleaner, comprising a bottle body, wherein the inside of the bottle body is a hollow structure; the bottom of the bottle body is provided with a bottle bottom, and the bottle bottom is curved; the center of the bottle bottom is provided with a through hole, and a steel ball check valve is installed in the through hole; the end of the bottle body away from the bottle bottom is provided with a bottleneck, and the bottleneck is provided with threads; the bottleneck is equipped with a cleaning head; the bottom of the cleaning head is provided with threads, and the threads are provided on a mounting table; the mounting table and the bottleneck are matched and connected with the same size; the top of the mounting table is provided with a cleaning neck.
BREASTMILK COLLECTION SYSTEM
A wearable breastmilk collection device includes a storage compartment with a flange and a cup, a breast accepting flange separated from the storage compartment by a one-way valve, a vacuum source attachment, and a reservoir in communication with the vacuum source attachment. A method of expressing and collecting breastmilk from a breast may involve using the wearable breastmilk collection device described above to express breastmilk from the breast, while the device is positioned in the woman's brassiere.
NEEDLELESS CONNECTOR HAVING CHECK VALVE WITH VALVE PIVOT SUPPORT
A needleless connector includes a housing having a central longitudinal axis, a body portion, and a base portion. The body portion includes an inner surface forming an internal cavity, and a first port forming a first fluid passage to the housing cavity. The base portion includes a top end section and a bottom end section. The top end section has a protrusion, and the bottom end portion has a second port forming a second fluid passage to the housing cavity. The needleless connector further includes a valve having a wall with an inner surface forming a valve cavity. The valve is coupled with the housing such that the protrusion is positioned in the valve cavity, and a proximal end of the protrusion is spaced apart from a proximal end of the valve cavity.
CATHETER ASSEMBLY WITH DIRECTIONAL PORT OPENING
A vascular access device including a catheter adapter, a port opening, and an elastomeric valve. The catheter adapter extends along a longitudinal axis and includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therebetween. The port opening is formed in a surface of the catheter adapter in fluid communication with a side port of the catheter adapter and the lumen. A structural geometry of the port opening directs a fluid into the lumen in a proximal direction. The elastomeric port valve is disposed within the lumen and configured to deform in response to a transverse force applied thereto. A proximal gap may result between the inner wall forming the lumen and a proximal side of the elastomeric port valve, thereby opening a fluid path.
Fluid flow control valve and flow control devices and methods employing same
A fluid flow control valve includes a valve body with a fluid flow lumen therethrough and a valve member located within the fluid flow lumen. At least one of the valve body and the valve member is resilient and respectively sized for movement between a normally closed position in which the valve member and a fluid lumen surface are in sufficient annular contact to block fluid flow through the fluid flow lumen and an open position in which at least one of the valve body and the valve member flexes to a spaced apart position that allows the fluid flow between the valve body and the valve member. Downstream fluid pressure may contact the valve body to enhance sealing. A fluid absorbent member may also be employed with the valve body. Flow control devices, such as medical fluid injection devices, and methods may employ the valve.
METHOD OF DELIVERING A UROLOGICAL DEVICE INTO A BLADDER NECK OR URETHRA OF A USER
A method of delivering a urological device includes providing a catheter and a urological valve that can be retained within the catheter; advancing the catheter toward a bladder neck of a user; withdrawing the catheter from the user; and deploying the urological valve out of the catheter into the bladder neck or urethra of the user.
