Transmission cable joint for a medium voltage underground cable system
The application relates to a transmission cable joint for a medium voltage underground cable system. The cable joint comprises at least a casing and connection terminals for coupling wires of transmission cables. In addition, the connection terminals are in connection with an inductance component that is sheltered by the casing and limits capacitive earth fault current, when the coupled cables produce such current.
CEMENTITIOUS SLURRIES, METHODS, AND ASSEMBLIES FOR ELECTRICALLY GROUNDING AND CORROSION-PROTECTING A METALLIC STRUCTURE
A method for electrically grounding and corrosion-protecting a metallic structure includes combining a cementitious powder with water to form a cementitious slurry, applying the cementitious slurry to at least a section of the metallic structure, and curing the cementitious slurry to form a water impermeable and electrically conductive cementitious surround on the section. The cementitious powder includes a cement and a particulate carbonaceous material. The cementitious powder is combined with the water in a ratio of less than or equal to about 2.5 US gallons of water per 55 lb of cementitious powder.
SUMP JUNCTION BOX
A system including a sump having an inner volume and a junction box coupled to the sump. The junction box has a body defining an inner volume, and also has a first inlet and a second inlet, wherein each inlet is in fluid communication with the inner volume of the body. The junction box further has a first outlet and a second outlet, wherein each outlet is in fluid communication with the inner volume of the body such that a first wire is positionable in the first inlet and the first outlet and a second wire is positioned in the second inlet and the second outlet.
Cable housing system
A cable housing system includes a housing positioned below a travel path having a crown surface. A plurality of surface lid sections are connected to the housing. The surface lid sections generally lie flush with the surface crown of the travel path when in a closed position and define gaps between the surface lid sections when in an open position. A surface lid interlocking mechanism connects at least two adjacent surface lid sections, and an attachment mechanism provides for the surface lid sections to be selectively moved relative to the housing.
ELECTRICAL CORD RECEIVING ANTI-FATIGUE MAT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
An electrical cord receiving anti-fatigue mat assembly includes a panel that has a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge. The panel is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. The bottom side has a trough therein with the trough having a pair of ends each comprising an opening extending through the perimeter edge. The trough receives an electrical cord such that the bottom side abuts and is flush with a floor surface when the electrical cord is positioned within the trough and extends through each of the openings. The trough has a depth and width each being greater than 0.40 inches.
Low Voltage Cable Conduit System for Stadium Seating Flooring
A low voltage cable conduit system for stadium seating flooring includes a tread base, a riser base, a tread cover, a riser cover, an inside-corner cover, and an outside-corner cover. The tread base and the riser base are mounted perpendicular to each other about a stadium seating flooring. The tread base is linearly enclosed by the tread cover, and a distal end of the tread cover is mounted to the tread base. The riser base is linearly enclosed by the riser cover. The inside-corner cover is positioned over a proximal end of the tread cover. The inside-corner cover can be mounted to the tread base through the proximal end of the tread cover and to the riser base through the proximal end of the riser cover. The outside-corner cover is positioned adjacent to a distal end of the riser cover and mounted to the riser base through the riser cover.
Ground Level Primary Electric Distribution System
A ground level primary electrical distribution system deploys terrain mounted or essentially terrain flush pipes that protect suppress ignition from fires that may occur if components fail within the pipes. The pipes can be deployed in remote and rugged terrain where overhead power lines poses fire risks from wind damage and it is impractical and disruptive to bury the electricity conducting cable or deployed along roadways or field at ground level or essentially flush with the ground to avoid excavation yet avoid the use of overhead power lines that can be subject to damage from high wind. The pipes can follow the terrain between junctions over rigid segments formed by a plurality of end-to-end coupled enclosures, while the conductors are protected within jacketing or flow through flexible insulating and isolating conduits within the more rigid pipes.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TESTING A SUBMARINE HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a submersible apparatus (1) for testing a submarine high voltage (HV) cable system. The apparatus (1) includes a cable termination (100) including an electrical insulator (101) and a shielding electrode (102) for the electrical connection with a cable end (201). The apparatus (1) additionally includes a cable bend restrictor (300) having a through channel (301), and a termination locking (400) in through communication with the cable bend restrictor (300) and the cable termination (100). According to another aspect, a method for testing a submarine high voltage (HV) cable apparatus using the above to testing apparatus (1) is additionally disclosed.
Modular cable protector with easy open lid
A modular cable protector system has a cable protector with a lid that can be easily opened using a tool to removably engage a number of tool engagement features on the cable protector. For example, the tool engagement features can be openings or slots in the upper surface of the cable protector having undercuts extending horizontally beneath the lid from the lower portion of the openings. The tool can have an elongated vertical member with a horizontal protrusions at its lower end that can be inserted into the openings with the horizontal protrusions extending into the undercuts beneath the lid.
Utility enclosure apron
Precast utility enclosure aprons for buried utility enclosures that have an angled top surface to direct water, ice and debris away from the center of the apron and to limit damage to the apron and utility enclosure caused by impacts to the apron.
