Data cable and motor vehicle with the data cable
A novel data cable achieves good transmission quality in automotive Internet applications. The data cable has a transmission core with only a single stranded conductor pair or four conductors stranded together to form a quad. The transmission core is surrounded by a jacket having a high air content. The jacket may be a foamed sheath, or alternatively at least one spacer element that defines an annular sheath space with air gaps around the transmission core.
SHIELD CONNECTOR
Disclosed is a shield connector for supporting cables such that terminals of the cables are directly connected to a terminal coupling portion inside a unit, the shield connector including: a fixing plate which includes fixing part-cable through-holes, through which the cables pass, and a holding fastening portion; and a sub assembly which includes movable part-cable through-holes, through which the cables pass, and has one surface supported by the fixing plate. The sub assembly includes: a shield plate which is in contact with shield portions of each of the cables and has the outer circumference in contact with a shield part of the unit; and a shield plate-fixing plate having one surface that fixes the shield plate. Therefore, the shield connector makes it possible to directly install the cable in the unit without the need for the separate male and female connectors.
End closure for a cable and method for its manufacture
An end closure for a cable having a core, at least two electrical cable wires and at least one optical transmission element, the core is surrounded by a metal wire reinforcement. On the end of the electrical cable wires an electrically suitable connection set is mounted, which at least partially protrudes out of a pipe. A connection unit is mounted on the end of the optical transmission element, which also partially protrudes from the pipe. The connection unit has a pot shaped tension element mounted tension proof on the free end of the pipe and surrounds, moisture tight and pressure tight, the part of the connection set and the connection unit that protrudes out of the pipe.

TERMINAL COVER
This terminal cover 1 comprises: a terminal protector 10 that has an opening 11 open to the upper side; an electric wire protection part 20 provided continuously behind the terminal protector 10; and a lid 30 that is coupled to a front end of the electric wire protection part 20 via a hinge 26 and can open and close the opening 11 from above. A locking wall 22 having a locking boss 23 is provided on the upper surface 21 of the electric wire protection part 20 to extend upward. In a closed state in which the opening 11 is closed, the lid 30 comprises: a protrusion part 32 protruding upward from the upper surface 21 of the electric wire protection part 20; and a surrounding part 33 provided continuously below the protrusion part 32 and spread outward from the protrusion part 32. The protrusion part 32 is provided with a locking part 35, the locking wall 22 abuts on the protrusion part 32, the locking boss 23 and the locking part 35 are locked, and thus the lid 30 is held in an open state in which the opening 31 is open. In the open state, the locking wall 22 covers the locking part 35 so as not to be exposed to the outside, and the surrounding part 33 covers the locking boss 23 so as not to be exposed to the outside.
PROTECTING CAP FOR TERMINAL CONSOLIDATION SPLICE
A water proofing protecting cap that is placed over a terminal consolidation splice portion of a wire harness. The protecting cap being a dip molded transparent tubular body that is provided with a bottom portion wherein, from an opening for insertion at the other end, the protecting cap can be filled with a water sealant and a terminal consolidation splice portion of a wire harness is insertable. A marking line made by a rib on a male mold used in the dip molding is provided in a circumferential direction on an inner circumferential surface of a peripheral wall and is distanced by a required height from an inner surface of the bottom portion toward the opening, and a non-transparent line is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the peripheral wall following the marking line. The non-transparent line serving as a control line for a lower end position of the consolidation splice portion.
System and method for sealing electrical terminals
A sealing device and method for sealing an electrical terminal. The sealing device includes a heat shrinkable tubing having an inner wall. A first sealant/adhesive is configured to cooperate with the heat shrinkable tubing. The first sealant/adhesive has a first sealant/adhesive first surface and an oppositely facing first sealant/adhesive second surface. The second surface of the first sealant/adhesive is bonded to the inner wall of the heat shrinkable tubing. A second sealant/adhesive is configured to cooperate with free ends of electrical conductors which are in electrical engagement with the electrical terminal. The second sealant/adhesive has a second sealant/adhesive first surface and an oppositely facing second sealant/adhesive second surface. The second sealant/adhesive first surface is provided in engagement with the electrical conductors. The second sealant/adhesive second surface is provided in engagement and bonded with the first sealant/adhesive first surface.
