This invention is a device for connecting an end of a HV cable to an HV installation, comprising a pre-fabricated pipe-like unit (2) and the method for installing this device. The pipe-like unit comprises a connection piece (6, 6b) made out of an electrically conducting material and an insulator tube (5, 5r) which is connected to the connection piece (6, 6b) in a fluid-tight way. The insulator tube (5, 5r) is made out of an insulating material. The HV installation is typically a HV joint or a termination.

Connection assembly, sensor assembly and subsea cable harness

A connection assembly connects at least two subsea cables to a dual output subsea sensor An embodiment includes an adapter piece mounted to a rear part of the subsea sensor; a sensor port in the adapter piece, through which at least a first sensor connection and a second sensor connection are led to the subsea sensor; a first and second port for respectively providing a connection to a first and second subsea cable; a first penetrator providing a liquid tight seal between an interior space of the adapter piece and a duct connected to the first port; and a second penetrator providing a liquid tight seal between the interior space of the adapter piece and a duct connected to the second port. The sealing provided by the first and second penetrator preventing fluid communication between the respective duct connected to the first and second port, through the adapter piece.

Formed hose with different fiber-reinforced regions

Formed hose configurations are provided which include an innermost elastomer layer, a first fiber-reinforcement region, and multiple second fiber-reinforcement regions. The first fiber-reinforcement region has a first fiber-reinforcement density, and is disposed, at least in part, at a bend region of the formed hose, and the multiple second fiber-reinforcement regions have a second fiber-reinforcement density, and are disposed at least at the first and second end regions of the formed hose. The second fiber-reinforcement density is greater than the first fiber-reinforcement density, and results in the first and second ends of the formed hose being less radially-deformable than the bend region of the hose. This facilitates providing a mechanical fluid-tight connection with a hose barb fitting when the formed hose is slid over the hose barb fitting, absent any clamp over the formed hose and hose barb fitting connection.

Cable track

Example implementations relate to a cable track. For example, a cable track includes a plurality of pivotally-connected multi-channel links. Each of the multi-channel links may be a unitary body. A first channel may be located between a first outer member and a dividing member of the multi-channel link. A second channel may be located between a second outer member and the dividing member of the multi-channel link.
