Adjustable implantable throttle
The invention relates to an adjustable implantable throttle for controlling a drainage rate in implantable drains for cerebrospinal fluid drainage. Despite the existence of proven valves, the invention has set itself the object of improving valves. It solves this by making at least one effective length of at least one channel adjustable.
VALVE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A LIQUID MEDICAMENT, AND A CORRESPONDING DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A LIQUID MEDICAMENT
The invention relates to a valve, in particular for a device for administering a liquid medicament, with a valve body (1) which has an interior (2) for receiving a liquid (20), wherein the valve body (1) has a liquid inlet (3) and an opposite liquid outlet (4) which both open into the interior (2), wherein the interior (2) accommodates a large number of micro channels (5) which extend in connection direction (x) between the liquid inlet (3) and the liquid outlet (4). A corresponding device for administering a liquid medicament is also described.
APPARATUS AND KITS FOR FLUID INFUSION
An infusion device includes a housing with an interior chamber sized and configured to hold at least a flange and plunger of a syringe, a trigger held by the housing, and a lever in communication with the trigger and including an upwardly extending cam with a cam path having an upper end. The cam is in communication with the flange of the syringe. In response to actuation of the trigger to dispense fluid from the syringe, the upper end of the cam travels upward above the syringe and longitudinally toward a dispensing end of the syringe to linearly translate the plunger of the syringe in a first direction to dispense fluid from the syringe. To refill fluid into the syringe, the upper end of the cam travels downward and longitudinally away from the dispensing end of the syringe to linearly translate the plunger in a second direction to intake fluid.
Method and apparatus for irrigation
Disclosed is an irrigation system. The irrigation system includes a manual pump. The manual pump can provide pressurized liquid through a tube at an outlet.
VALVE AND VALVE COMPONENTS FOR AN ENDOSCOPE
Devices, systems, and methods for a valve for a medical device. The valve may include a valve stem. An elongate body of the valve stem may include a first opening and a second opening fluidly coupled to one another via a lumen. The valve stem may include one or more seals extending circumferentially around the elongate body. The one or more seals may include sealing surfaces that may be non-perpendicular with a longitudinal axis of the elongate body to selectively fluidly isolate openings or other features of a valve well in which the valve stem is configured to translate.
Rapid fluid delivery system
A system includes a tubing set and a drive assembly. The tubing set includes inlet tubing couplable to a source of fluid, a valve coupled to the inlet tubing, a syringe coupled to the inlet tubing via the valve, and outlet tubing coupled to the valve. The valve is configured to allow fluid to be drawn from the source of fluid via the inlet tubing into a syringe body of the syringe and to be expelled from the syringe body and through the outlet tubing, and to prevent fluid from being drawn from the outlet tubing into the syringe body and to prevent fluid expelled from the syringe body from flowing through the inlet tubing. The drive assembly is configured to reversibly receive the tubing set such that a drive mechanism is engaged with a plunger of the syringe to reciprocally translate the plunger relative to the syringe body.
SELF-FLUSHING CONNECTOR
A self-flushing connector includes a housing having a cavity, a first inlet port, a second inlet port, and an outlet port. A collapsible valve is disposed within the cavity. A first flow path extends from the first inlet port to the outlet port. The first inlet port and the second inlet port are fluidly connected through a gap defined between the body of the collapsible valve and an inner wall of the housing defining the cavity. A second flow path extends from the second inlet port to the first flow path. When the collapsible valve is in a closed state, the collapsible valve fluidly disconnects the second flow path from the first flow path while allowing fluid to flow through the first flow path. When the collapsible valve is in an open state, the second flow path is fluidly connected to the first flow path.

Adjustable drainage valve
A drainage valve intended to be implanted and to drain the cerebrospinal fluid, including: a body defining a chamber into which there open an inlet port and an outlet port, a stopper capable of at least partially, or indeed completely, closing off the inlet port, a resilient return member exerting a resilient push force on the stopper towards the inlet port in order to open or close the port, a rotor housed in the chamber, able to rotate about an X-axis pivot and including a cam track on which the resilient return member rests such that the force exerted by the resilient return member on the stopper is modified by the rotation of the rotor.
