Equipment control based on environmental monitoring system
The techniques described herein may provide for more efficient power management of equipment based on weather conditions. For instance, weather measurements (e.g., or weather forecasts based on weather measurements) may be used to determine whether or not to initiate a power disconnect procedure. When some weather condition (e.g., wind, temperature, rain, humidity, etc.) exceeds a threshold, a power disconnect procedure may be initiated such that a power source of certain equipment may be disconnected from a power distribution system. In some examples, an environmental monitor may send environmental measurements or conditions to a programmable processor. In instances where the programmable processor determines that some environmental threshold or condition has been met, the programmable processor may send a disconnect signal (e.g., a disconnect power signal) to a power disconnect device. The power disconnect device may thus disconnect the power distribution system from the power source.
UNDERWATER DEVICE FOR ACQUIRING IMAGES OF THE BED OF A BODY OF WATER
The invention relates to an underwater device for capturing images of a seabed, comprising at least one sensor for detecting a sensor value, at least one electrical consumer and an electrical energy source for supplying electrical energy to the electrical consumer. The underwater device is characterised in that, based on the sensor value, it is determined whether a hazardous condition exists for the electrical consumer and an energy distribution unit is provided which disconnects the electrical consumer from the electrical energy source if a hazardous condition exists.
Method and apparatus for changing impedance of terminal included in connector
An electronic device includes a connector including a plurality of terminals for electrically connecting to a power supply device supplying a power to the electronic device and a control circuit. The control circuit senses a moisture entering the connector, changes an impedance of at least one specified data terminal among the terminals in response to the sensing of the moisture such that the power supply device identifies the impedance of the at least one specified data terminal and changes a level of a voltage depending on the impedance, and receives the voltage whose level is changed from the power supply device. Other various embodiments identified in the specification are also possible.

METHOD FOR PROTECTING A SERVER FROM DAMAGE BY A LIQUID LEAK FROM A LIQUID-COOLING UNIT
A method for protecting a server from damage by a liquid leak from a liquid-cooling unit of the server is provided. The server further includes a liquid leak sensor unit, a programmable logic circuit, and a power supply unit that supplies main power and standby power for the server. When a liquid leak is detected, the liquid leak sensor unit generates a main-power-off signal to the programmable logic circuit that causes the power supply unit to stop outputting the main power accordingly. The liquid leak sensor unit sends a total-power-off signal to the power supply unit to stop supply of the standby power after the power supply unit has stopped outputting the main power.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AT LEAST ONE PIN INCLUDED IN INTERFACE SO AS TO SWITCH TO OPEN STATE IN RESPONSE TO MOISTURE DETECTION AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PERFORMING SAME
An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise: a housing; an interface connected to the housing or exposed through the housing and comprising at least one configuration channel (CC) pin; a circuit disposed inside the housing, comprising a current generator and a comparator, and electrically connected to the interface; a processor disposed inside the housing and operatively connected to the interface and the circuit; and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The memory cause the processor, when executed, to detect moisture corresponding to the at least one CC pin on the basis of the comparator while the at least one CC pin is connected to the current generator and to control at least one switch disposed between the current generator and the at least one CC pin, in response to detection of the moisture, thereby conducting switching such that the at least one CC pin is not connected to the current generator. Other embodiments are also possible.
Liquid detection inside a battery tray to avoid battery malfunction
A vehicle battery safety sensor system providing liquid detection inside a battery pack includes a battery pack having a structure defining a battery cell bay receiving a battery. A first sensor is mounted to the structure proximate to a low point area of the battery cell bay for sensing an operating condition within the low point area of the battery cell bay. A second sensor is mounted to the structure elevated above the first sensor for sensing an operating condition above the low point area of the battery cell bay. A safety module processes signals received from the first sensor and the second sensor and identifies if the operating condition within the low point area of the battery cell bay defines a fluid present in the low point area of the battery cell bay.
