A footwear including an outsole portion; an insole portion, wherein an upper surface area of the midsole portion being operable for contacting a wearer's foot; a midsole section, the midsole section is disposed between the outsole portion and upper or strap portion, wherein the midsole section is configured to be operable for absorbing a shock imposed on the footwear; a predetermined amount of fluid; a fluid compartment disposed in the midsole section, wherein the fluid compartment is configured to house the predetermined amount of fluid, in which a perimeter area around the fluid-filled compartment comprises a translucent or clear material, and wherein the housed fluid can be seen or observed through the compartment; and in which an upper surface area of the fluid-filled compartment that is into engagement with a top layer of the midsole portion comprises a pliable material that is configured to stretch under pressure.

In some embodiments, a shoe assembly comprises a vamp and a sole. The vamp includes a middle section, and the vamp and the middle section are formed of a continuous piece of a first molded material. The vamp also includes a first aperture and a second aperture. The sole includes a forefoot section and a heel section that are joined by a midfoot section. The forefoot section, the heel section, and the midfoot section are formed of a continuous piece of a second molded material. The second molded material is an EVA-based material. The first aperture of the vamp receives a part of the forefoot section and the second aperture receives a part of the heel section. When the shoe assembly is placed on a flat surface, the forefoot section is in direct contact with the flat surface.

According to the various embodiments of the present disclosure, footwear with an enhanced toe post is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, the footwear may comprise a sole portion to support and protect a wearer's foot, a strap portion attached to the sole to bind the footwear to a wearer's foot, and at least one toe post passing between a wearer's toes constructed at least partially of memory foam or other cushioning materials.

According to the various embodiments of the present disclosure, footwear with an enhanced toe post is provided. Articles of footwear 1, and methods of manufacturing articles of footwear are disclosed. The footwear 1 comprises a heel portion 4 for supporting a heel of a foot 10 of a wearer. The heel portion 4 defines a channel 20 extending from a first opening 21 to a second opening 22. The openings 21, 22 are situated at laterally-facing surfaces 41, 42 of the heel portion 4. The footwear 1 may also comprises a fastening means 5 for fastening the article of footwear 1 to the foot 10 of the wearer. The fastening means 5 is arranged to extend through said channel 20 and, in use of the footwear 1, is fastenable around the dorsal region of the foot 10 of the wearer.

Articles of footwear 1, and methods of manufacturing articles of footwear are disclosed. The footwear 1 comprises a heel portion 4 for supporting a heel of a foot 10 of a wearer. The heel portion 4 defines a channel 20 extending from a first opening 21 to a second opening 22. The openings 21, 22 are situated at laterally-facing surfaces 41, 42 of the heel portion 4. The footwear 1 may also comprises a fastening means 5 for fastening the article of footwear 1 to the foot 10 of the wearer. The fastening means 5 is arranged to extend through said channel 20 and, in use of the footwear 1, is fastenable around the dorsal region of the foot 10 of the wearer.

A fastening system includes a sleeve having a cylindrical body, and one or more braking members provided on the sleeve. At least one strap is extendable through the sleeve and movable relative to the sleeve while the sleeve is braced. The one or more braking members resist movement of the at least one strap relative to the sleeve.

The footwear can be convertible between a shoe configuration and a sandal configuration. A flexible front vamp portion can be elevated into an upwardly flexed and elevated position so it creates a cavity, in conjunction with the footwear upper portion, to receive the foot of the wearer to provide a shoe configuration. In particular, the toes of the wearer can reside in the cavity portion formed by the flexible front vamp portion. For conversion to a sandal configuration, the midsole can be removed from the outer sole and the front vamp portion can be downwardly flexed so that it collapses and then nests into the outer sole. The midsole can be replaced back into the outer sole, with the front vamp portion captured between the midsole and the outer sole, so the footwear can function as a sandal with the wearer's toes exposed.

The footwear can be convertible between a shoe configuration and a sandal configuration. A flexible front vamp portion can be elevated into an upwardly flexed and elevated position so it creates a cavity, in conjunction with the footwear upper portion, to receive the foot of the wearer to provide a shoe configuration. In particular, the toes of the wearer can reside in the cavity portion formed by the flexible front vamp portion. For conversion to a sandal configuration, the midsole can be removed from the outer sole and the front vamp portion can be downwardly flexed so that it collapses and then nests into the outer sole. The midsole can be replaced back into the outer sole, with the front vamp portion captured between the midsole and the outer sole, so the footwear can function as a sandal with the wearer's toes exposed.

A foldable shoe includes a first sole section located under the ball of a wearer's foot including a first outsole portion and a first footbed. The foldable shoe further includes a second sole section located under the heel of a wearer's foot, the second sole section including a second outsole portion and a second footbed. An upper section extends from the first sole section, and a hinge is connected to the first sole section and the second sole section and is configured to fold the foldable shoe from a first position, to be worn, to a second position, for storage. A first magnetic material disposed in the first sole section and a second magnetic material disposed in the second sole section creates a magnetic connection to retain the foldable shoe in first position or second position.
