Dual lumen cannula with adjustable length infusion tube
A dual lumen coaxial cannula assembly including a first infusion tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and a sidewall extending circumferentially therebetween, as well as a second drainage tube co-axially aligned with the first infusion tube, the second drainage tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and a sidewall extending circumferentially therebetween. The assembly also includes a connector assembly, which has an inlet portion through which a portion of the first infusion tube is configured to extend and an outlet portion through which a portion of the second drainage tube is configured to extend. The connector assembly is configured to enable selective axial displacement of the first infusion tube through the second drainage tube.
Blood pump
A blood pump comprises a pump casing a blood flow inlet and a blood flow outlet connected by a passage, and an impeller. The impeller comprises blades configured to convey blood from the blood flow inlet to the blood flow outlet, the impeller being supported in the pump casing by at least one contact-type bearing comprising a surface of the impeller facing a surface of the pump casing. At least one wash out channel extends through the impeller and is in fluid connection with the passage via a first opening and with the bearing via a second opening. The wash out channel is operatively associated with a secondary pump for pumping blood through the wash out channel towards the bearing. The secondary pump is formed at least partially by said at least one wash out channel extending through the impeller along a direction having at least one tangential directional component.

AXIAL COMPRESSION ASSEMBLY FOR ATTACHING TO ANATOMICAL TISSUE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
An apical cuff axial compression assembly including a ring member for coupling an apical cuff of a Ventricular Assist Device pump, to left ventricular apical tissue. Tissue anchors are employed to engage with the ring member and the apical cuff to exert direct or axial compression of the ring member to the apical cuff and to the left ventricular apical tissue. A first variant includes an axial compression ring and a plurality of openings to accommodate the tissue anchors. A second variant includes a segmented axial compression ring composed of a plurality of arcuate members, which may be contiguous or joined to each other or not. Each of the plurality of arcuate members has at least one tissue anchor opening passing there through.
