BLUETOOTH DEVICE AND DATA SCHEDULER
A method and device for wireless data transmission are described. A device receives sets of sensor data associated with respective sensor measurements for a vehicle. The device determines a priority for each of the sets of sensor data based on an amount of data stored for that sensor measurement in a number of data queues, and selectively stores each of the sets of sensor data in one of the data queues based on a threshold data throughput rate of a wireless network and the priority of each set of sensor data. The device transmits, to a second computing device via the wireless network, at least some of the sets of sensor data from the data queues based on a current data throughput rate of the wireless network and a priority level of each of the data queues.

BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM AND BATTERY CHARGING METHOD FOR ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN VEHICLE
In a case where an external charging start time is set in an external charging timer when a charging plug is connected to a charging connector, a charging controller is configured to perform standby setting of external charging before the external charging start time and transits to a pause state. The charging controller is intermittently activated during a timer charging setting period from a pause period start time when transition is made to the pause state to the external charging start time, and when a battery temperature at the time of activation of the charging controller is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature, execute a temperature increase mode in which a heater is operated to increase the temperature of a main battery.
CHARGING CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND BILLING SYSTEM USING THE SAME
An EV charging control apparatus may include a controller receiving a charging approval message for an EV from a charging management server, starting a charging to the EV in response to the charging approval message, measuring and accumulating an amount of energy charged to the EV, recognizing a charging termination operation from a user of the EV or the EV, and deriving charging information based on the amount of energy charged in response to the charging termination operation, and a short-range wireless communication module establishing a connection with a short-range wireless communication module mounted on the EV, and transmitting the charging information to the EV
Battery pack and electrical apparatus using battery pack
A battery pack which has cell units in which top-side and bottom-side battery cells are connected in series, and is capable of switching the connection state of the cell units, wherein a control unit monitors voltage imbalances between the plurality of cell units, and also monitors whether or not a cell unit contact failure has occurred. In order to stop a charging/discharging when a contact failure occurs, a signal (abnormality stoppage signal or charging stoppage signal) for stopping discharge is produced and outputted to the electrical device body-side.
GAS SENSING FOR AN AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE
A control body is coupled or coupleable with a cartridge that is equipped with a heating element and contains an aerosol precursor composition, the control body and cartridge forming an aerosol delivery device. The control body includes a control component to control the heating element to activate and vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition. The control body also includes a gas sensor configured to detect a presence of gas in an environment of the control body, and the gas sensor or control component are further configured to control operation of at least one functional element of the aerosol delivery device in response to the presence of gas so detected.
Battery charger and method for charging a battery
A charger for impulsed charging of a battery includes first and second charging contacts configured to receive a battery to be charged, a DC power input having first and second terminals, and an inductor having first and second ends. The first end is selectively conductively connectable to the first terminal and the second charging contact. The second end is selectively conductively connectable to the first charging contact and the second terminal. A switch is between the second end and the second terminal such that with the switch in a first configuration, the inductor is connected across the DC power input to enable magnetic energization of the inductor, and in a second configuration, the inductor is disconnected from the DC power input and connected across the charging contacts to enable magnetic energy in the inductor to discharge to the battery. The switch is alternated between configurations during charging of the battery.
