Coupling interface and method of operation
A charging surface comprising multiple conductive regions can be used to charge an electronic device placed on it the surface so that electrodes on the device engage respective conductive regions of the surface. In order to distinguish such chargeable devices from short circuits and other spurious connections, the coupling interface associated with the charging surface is controlled so as to establish a text voltage across each pair of conductive regions in sequence, and look for pairs of conductive region demonstrating a voltage drop characteristic of a particular class of device. Relationships between every pair of conductive regions can be determined and recording, and the voltage level supplied to each conductive region set accordingly. The coupling interface may furthermore operate to identify device classes, and to set supply voltages or establish additional connections on the basis of stored device class information. Discrimination on the basis of voltage drop can be enhanced by the provision of a coupling adapted associated with a device to be detected, where the coupling adapter demonstrates an anti-inversion characteristic, for example implemented with a MOSFET, across at least a pair of these electrodes.
Kerbside vehicle charger
A charging apparatus for a vehicle where a terminal (1, FIG. 2) is connected to at least one kerbside power/data unit (9) to provide a power (4) and a data connection (5) to the power/data unit (9), the power/data unit (9) being connected to a nearby vehicle (17) to provide power to charge the vehicle (17) and receive data from the vehicle (17). The fact that the kerbside power/data unit (9) can charge a vehicle (17) using power supplied from a terminal (1, FIG. 2) and can transmit data from the vehicle (17) to the terminal (1, FIG. 2) provides the power and data requirements for connected autonomous vehicles at a kerbside location.
Musical gift box
The musical gift box is a container uses to store jewelry. The musical gift box rotates between a closed position and an open position. The musical gift box incorporates a jewelry box, a control circuit, and a personal data device. The jewelry box contains the control circuit. The control circuit forms a wireless communication link with the personal data device. The jewelry box is a rotating structure. The jewelry box contains the jewelry. The jewelry box rotates between the closed position and the open position. The control circuit detects when the jewelry box is in the closed position. When the jewelry box rotates towards the open position, the control circuit: a) establishes the wireless communication link with the personal data device; b) receives a transmission from the personal data device containing a music file; and, c) converts the music file into an audible sound commonly referred to as music.
Method for operating a charging park for electric vehicles
A method for operating a charging park for electric vehicles. The charging park has a group of charging points which are connected to a central cooling module, wherein components of the respective charging point are cooled as a function of a temperature of the respective component in the charging mode or in the standby mode, as a function of a charging status at the respective charging point and as a function of an ambient temperature.
Contact structure
A contact structure causing a first electric device to be electrically connected to a second electric device includes first terminals and second terminals. The second terminals include contact projections to be electrically connected to the first terminals, and cleaning projections located closer to an opening side of a fitting part of the second electric device than the contact projections to be brought into contact with the first terminals. The contact structure is configured such that the contact projections are not in contact with a surface of an outer case of the first electric device or surfaces of the first terminals before the cleaning projections climb over the first terminals. The contact structure is also configured such that the contact projections are brought into contact with the surfaces of the first terminals after the cleaning projections climb over the first terminals.
Battery drone
Systems and techniques are provided for charging devices at a property using battery-charging drones. In some implementations, a monitoring system is configured to monitor a property and includes a battery-powered sensor configured to generate sensor data. The system includes a drone that is configured to navigate the property and charge the battery-powered sensor. A monitor control unit is configured to obtain a battery level from the battery-powered sensor and compare the battery level to a battery level threshold. Based on the comparison, the monitor control unit determines that the battery level does not satisfy the threshold. Based on the determination, the monitor control unit generates and transmits an instruction to a drone for the drone to navigate to the battery-powered sensor and charge a battery of the battery-powered sensor. The monitor control unit receives data from the drone that indicates whether the drone charged the battery of the sensor.
MODULAR HIGH PRECISION CHARGER/DISCHARGER SUBRACK ASSEMBLY STRUCTURE
The present disclosure relates to a technical idea for efficiently using space of a power supply unit of a charging/discharging system by facilitating arrangement and design in a unit module. A modular high-precision charger/discharger sub-rack assembly structure includes: a base plate fixed in a state of being vertically erected to a sub-rack of a high precision charger/discharger; and at least one charger/discharger power supply unit or electrically or physically detachably attached to one surface of the base plate, configured to perform charging or discharging through bi-directional AC-DC conversion or bi-directional DC-DC conversion between a battery and a power source, including constituent circuits arranged in a first direction to have an elongated shape in the first direction and to perform charging or discharging, and arranged in parallel in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction on the base plate.
Blood pressure monitor attachment assembly
A blood pressure monitor configured to removably mount to a cuff in a substantially symmetrical position with respect to a width of the cuff can include a housing defining an interior, a first port, and a second port. The first port can: secure to a first prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in a first orientation; receive and secure to a second prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in a second orientation; and enable fluid communication between the interior and at least one of a first fluid passage within the first prong and a second fluid passage within the second prong. The second port can: secure to the second prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in the first orientation; and receive and secure to the first prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in the second orientation.
Cartridge orientation for selection of a control function in a vaporization system
The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices comprising a power unit and a cartridge that is configured for engagement with the power unit. In particular, the cartridge can be configured for rotation about a longitudinal axis thereof so as to be insertable into a chamber of the power unit in a plurality of different orientations. Further, the aerosol delivery device can include processing circuitry that can be configured for detection of the cartridge orientation and execution of a control function assigned to the respective orientation.
Battery charging devices and systems
A charger for a starting, lighting, and ignition (SLI) battery is provided. The charger includes a base unit having a pair of terminals that are adapted to engage a pair of conductive terminals coupled to a battery unit to electrically couple the base unit to the battery unit. The charger also includes charging circuitry having power conversion circuitry that is adapted to receive primary power and to convert the primary power to a battery power output compatible with a charging voltage of the battery unit.
