System And Method For Determining Master/Slave Switches In A Multi-Way Switch System
A power switch configured for use in a multi-way switch system is provided. The power switch includes one or more switching elements configured to selectively couple a load to a power source. The power switch includes a power metering circuit and a communications circuit. The communications circuit can be configured to provide communications between the power switch and at least one other power switch in the switch system. The power switch can include a control device configured obtain data from the power metering circuit. The data can be indicative of power consumption of the load. The control device can be further configured to determine whether the power switch is a master power switch in the multi-way switch system based on the data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK
This disclosure provides systems, method, and computer-readable media for operating a sensor network. The sensor network can include an array of sensor devices and gateways. The sensor devices can sense various conditions of an environment. The sensor devices can include temperature sensors, occupancy detectors, access sensors, motion sensors, tracking devices, etc. The sensor devices can also network and communicate with one another and the gateways in an ad hoc or mesh network. The environment can include different locations, such as warehouse, office building, a complex of buildings, cargo vehicles, containers or the like. The sensor network can be deployed for controlling power consumption, logistics, automated manufacturing, healthcare, intelligent buildings, and smart cities among many other implementations. The sensor devices can communicate sensed conditions and transmit data among each other without a predefined route. When a gateway receives the data, the data can be stored and analyzed at a different location.
Integrated solar-panel
A solar panel is disclosed that can be daisy-chained with other solar panels. The solar panel automatically generates output alternative current (AC) power that is in parallel with input AC power coming into the solar panel when the solar panel senses the input AC power so that the solar panel operates as a slave in this state. The solar panel automatically generates standalone AC output power when the solar panel fails to detect input AC power coming into the solar panel where the solar panel operates as a master in this state. The solar panel generates the standalone output AC power without any reliance on input AC power generated by a utility grid and/or other AC power sources external to the solar panel.
DC-feeding-voltage calculating apparatus, DC-feeding-voltage control system, and DC-feeding-voltage calculating method
A DC-feeding-voltage calculating apparatus includes storage that stores train model information including information for controlling a regenerative power reducing amount in a train in an electrified section; feeding network model information including position information on a substation; and substation model information including control information on a substation voltage. On the basis of: the stored information; a voltage value, current values of feeders by train direction, the voltage and current values being measured in the substation; and first train information on a train including a wireless communication apparatus, an estimator estimates second train information on a train not including a wireless communication apparatus and outputs train operation information. A calculator, on the basis of the stored information and the train operation information, calculates a substation voltage setting value for controlling the substation voltage such that regenerative power is increased in a regenerative car in the electrified section.
System and method for intelligent static transfer switch with smart home power management
Systems and methods for intelligent transfer and management of power maintain a continuous and cost efficient supply of power to electrical loads in a residential or commercial unit when different energy resources such as utility, backup generators, energy storage systems and distributed energy resources (e.g. solar and wind) are available.
ENHANCED STATUS NOTIFICATION AND OUTAGE DETECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRIC UTILITY NETWORKS
A mesh network includes a plurality of nodes and a network head. The plurality of nodes includes a first node structured to generate and output a message to the network head in response to an event. The message includes at least one first information item associated with the first node, the electrical device monitored by the first node, or the section of the electrical distribution system monitored by the first node. The plurality of nodes includes a second node disposed on a communication path between the first node and the network head and being structured to add at least one second information item associated with the second node, the electrical device monitored by the second node, or the section of the electrical distribution system monitored by the second node to the message and to output the message to the network head.
Electric device control apparatus, and electric device control method using same
An electrical appliance control device for controlling power supplied to an electrical appliance, comprises: an output unit configured to output a predetermined event for each predetermined period during an operation mode; a determination unit configured to determine whether predetermined information is inputted by a user in response to the predetermined event; and a control unit configured to control power supplied to the electrical appliance corresponding to whether the predetermined information is inputted.
