Electric motor with stator

An electric motor includes a stator including four split cores, and a rotor having four magnetic poles. Each of the split cores includes a yoke and a tooth. An angle θ1 [degree] formed by a side surface of the tooth and a side surface of the yoke on an inner side in a radial direction of the stator satisfies 90 degrees ≤θ1<180 degrees.

Stator insulating members for rotary electric machine

Two types of insulating members, i.e., end surface insulators and slot insulators are provided. On tooth portion sides of both side surfaces in the circumferential direction of tooth end surface covering portions of the end surface insulator, first cutouts recessed in the circumferential direction are provided so as to extend in the radial direction. A part axially upward of the first cutouts protrudes in the circumferential direction to form a first overhang portion, and the slot insulator is accommodated between the first overhang portions of two end surface insulators.

Power connection with overmolded axially adjusted connecting rings

In some examples, a connecting ring may connect to a stator coil. The connecting ring may include at least one linear conductor integrally formed in a ring-like shape. Further, the connecting ring may include a terminal section integrally formed in the linear conductor, the terminal section including a hole configured to receive a wire end of the stator coil inserted into the hole in an insertion direction. In addition, the connecting ring may include a cylindrical protrusion having an opening in communication with the hole. The cylindrical protrusion may protrude away from the hole in the insertion direction. Additionally, the connecting ring may include bends for raising a first portion of the connecting ring including the terminal section in the insertion direction relative to a second portion of the connecting ring. An insulating member may cover the second portion of the connecting ring.

A magnet unit includes a plurality of arc-shaped magnets arranged in a circumferential direction and a magnet holder to which the magnets are secured. Each of the magnets has arc-shaped easy axes of magnetization which extend more parallel to the d-axis in a region close to the d-axis than those in a region close to the q-axis. The easy axes of magnetization define arc-shaped magnetic paths extending therealong. The magnets are arranged to be separate from each other across the d-axis or the q-axis. Each of the magnets has a q-axis end surface facing in the circumferential direction and placed in surface-to-surface contact with that of the circumferentially adjacent magnet. Each of the magnets has an armature-remote peripheral surface which faces away from the armature. Each of the armature-remote peripheral surfaces facing an attachment surface of the magnet holder through a clearance which is filled with a resin adhesive.
