In a cross section at a gap between two adjacent coils, along a plane including an axis of the stator core, a center of gravity of the first region is positioned above a center of gravity of the second region in an axial direction. B < A and C < A, where a radial length of the first region is B, a radial length of the second region is C, and a radial length between the inner wall and the outer wall of the insulator is A.

Terminal assembly for traction motor

A terminal assembly for a traction motor includes a bus bar having a ring shape and a terminal holder configured to accommodate the bus bar therein to cover an exterior of the bus bar. The terminal assembly includes: the terminal holder which is perforated to form a coupling hole therein through which a surface of the bus bar is exposed; and a temperature sensor unit which is inserted into the coupling hole and senses a temperature of the bus bar. The terminal assembly for the traction motor according to the present disclosure has a structure in which the temperature sensor unit is coupled to the terminal holder. Thus, the epoxy application process of the related art may be omitted, the occurrence of errors due to the epoxy application may be fundamentally prevented, and the assembly process may be further simplified.

The present disclosure relates to a motor operated compressor, including a housing, a compressor provided in the housing, a motor connected to the compressor to drive the compressor, an inverter coupled to one side of the housing, and connected to the motor unit in an electrically conductive manner. The motor operated compressor includes a hermetic terminal assembly, one side of which extends into the inverter unit, and an opposite side of which extends into the housing. A plurality of busbars have one end of each busbar connected to the opposite side of the hermetic terminal assembly, and the other end of each busbar connected to the motor unit. A first insulating cover portion encloses and seals the hermetic terminal assembly and the plurality of busbars inside the housing, such that a conductive body connecting the motor unit and the inverter unit in the main housing is sealed from refrigerant.

One embodiment relates to a stator unit and a motor comprising same, the stator unit comprising: a stator core; a coil wound around the stator core; and an insulator disposed between the stator core and the coil, wherein the stator core comprises a support part, and a coil winding part disposed on both side surfaces of the support part so as to protrude therefrom, wherein the support part and the coil winding part are disposed so as to form a cross shape. Accordingly, a coil space factor may be increased by using the cross-shaped stator core.

Magnetizing yoke and manufacturing method thereof

A magnetizing yoke prevents coils from being damaged and/or broken when an object to be magnetized is magnetized, more securely as compared with any conventional arts. The magnetizing yoke includes a slot member made of thermoplastic resin and formed with slots for inserting and fixing windings of an iron core, wherein the slot member is inserted into and fixed to the iron core. The magnetizing yoke is manufactured using a simple step of mounting the slot members made of resin on the iron core.

Fractional slot electric motors with coil elements having rectangular cross-sections

Described herein are fractional slot electric motors with compact crowns. A motor comprises multiple coil elements protruding through a stator core and forming electrical connections with each other and/or with a lead assembly. The lead assembly comprises phase busbars connected to selected coil elements and comprising terminals for connecting to an external power supply. The lead assembly also comprises neutral busbars, with no external connections and internally connected to other coil elements. Each coil element has a rectangular cross-sectional profile to maximize the slot-fill-ratio of the motor. Each coil element is electrically coupled to two other components. For example, each looped coil element is coupled to two other coil elements at a stator side, opposite the lead assembly. Each extended coil element is coupled to another coil element at that same side and coupled to another coil element or a busbar at the lead assembly side.
