The present invention relates to a self-contained and powered electric energy generator system. The energy generator system comprises a pair of generators designed to provide power to an external item, and wherein one of the generators is also configured to provide input power to an integrated AC motor. The AC motor is connected to a flywheel, which stores kinetic energy from the rotation of the AC motor. Then, the generators produce electricity by converting the stored kinetic energy into electrical energy. The generator system does not need fuel or external sources for generating electricity, and accordingly is cost efficient and environmentally friendly.

The frame is configured to be attached to a housing of a motor assembly proximate an aperture which extends through the housing. The optical sensor comprises a camera. This application is directed to an apparatus for providing electrical charge to a vehicle. The apparatus can comprise a driven mass, a generator, a capacitor storage device, and a battery storage device. The driven mass can rotate in response to a kinetic energy of the vehicle and is coupled to a shaft such that rotation of the driven mass causes the shaft to rotate. The generator can generate an electrical output based on a mechanical input coupled to the shaft such that rotation of the shaft causes the mechanical input to rotate. The capacitor storage device can receive at least a portion of the electrical output from the generator. The capacitor storage device can store at least the portion of the electrical output. The capacitor storage device can convey at least the portion of the electrical output received from the generator to the battery storage device.

Cable-actuated position sensors are described that employ multiple block and tackle arrangements to measure displacement of a draw wire or flexible cable. The disclosed sensors are relatively small and inexpensive. The disclosure is directed to parallel hybrid drive assemblies for lightweight unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Specifically, the disclosure is directed to hybrid drive assemblies and control systems for UAVs, utilizing continuous belt tension modulation to couple and decouple an electric motor and an internal combustion engine. In some embodiments, this is achieved through the use of a tensioner module that is configured to couple and decouple the electric motor and the internal combustion engine by continuously and selectably modulating belt tension on drive elements of each of the electric motor and the internal combustion engine.
