Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for wind power generation. In one aspect, a wind power generator includes a support base; inductors positioned over the support base in a circular array; an annulus ring track fixed to the base support and providing a circular track around which the inductors are located; an annulus ring rotor placed on the annulus ring track and engaged to rollers in the circular track so that the annulus ring rotor can rotate relative to the an annulus ring track, in which the annulus ring rotor include separate magnets to move through the circular array of inductors to cause generation of electric currents; and a wind rotor assembly coupled to the annulus ring rotor and including wind-deflecting blades that rotate with the rotor and a hollow central interior for containing a wind vortex formed from deflecting wind by the blades to convert into the electric energy.

Energy storage system using earth materials

An energy storage system stores power received from a power grid as potential energy in compressed earth materials. The energy storage system includes a motor-generator coupled to an anchor via a tensile member. The motor-generator is configured to apply a tensile force to the tensile member. The tensile force causes the motor-generator and the anchor to apply a compression force to the earth materials in the ground, and causes the anchor to displace, thereby storing the received power as potential energy. The energy storage system provides power to the power grid by relieving some of the tensile force on the tensile member and thereby relieving some of the compression force on the earth materials. The anchor displaces towards its original position, and thereby causes the motor-generator to generate electrical power from the stored potential energy.

The electrical generation system includes one or more power generation modules which will be selectively turned on or off and additively contribute power depending on the DC power demand. Each power generating module includes a pair of linear electrical generators connected to respective ones of a pair of internal combustion piston based power assemblies. The piston in the internal combustion assembly is connected to a magnet in the linear electrical generator. The piston/magnet assembly oscillates in a simple harmonic motion at a frequency dependent on a power load of the electrical generator. A stroke limiter constrains the piston/magnet assembly motion to preset limits.

A system using Faraday's law to rapidly direct convert the kinetic energy of a magnetized and/or conducting projectile into usable electrical energy. The system includes a barrel comprising a bore; a circuit including a plurality of electrically conductive components distributed along a length of the bore; and a projectile comprising at least one of a conductive material or a magnetic material magnetically coupled to the electrically conductive components when the projectile is moving along the length of the bore. The circuit stores energy generated from an electric current induced in the electrically conductive components when the projectile moving along the length of the bore causes a magnetic interaction between the electrically conductive components and the magnetic material or the conductive material. The magnetic interaction also causes braking of the projectile.

Free piston generator based on rigid synchronous transmission system

A free piston generator based on a rigid synchronous transmission system is provided, which belongs to the technical field of power energy. The present disclosure solves the problems of low power generation efficiency and low stability of the existing free piston generator. The free piston generator based on the rigid synchronous transmission system includes a first linear generator set, a second linear generator set, a rigid synchronous transmission assembly, two high-pressure cylinders arranged at two ends of the first linear generator set, and two low-pressure cylinders arranged at two ends of the second linear generator set. The combustion product is firstly subjected to first-stage expansion in the high-pressure cylinder and is then subjected to second-stage expansion in the low-pressure cylinder, which effectively increases the energy utilization in exhaust gas, also increases the expansion work, and further improves the thermal efficiency and the power generation efficiency of the free piston generator. By means of the rigid synchronous transmission assembly, high-pressure pistons and low-pressure pistons are always kept in stable phase operation, so as to avoid the problems of wall-impingement and insufficient pressure of compressed air due to the phase mismatching.
